What all Did you need to run E85? Did you run new fuel lines?
@hubcityhotrodstv83743 ай бұрын
@@kanryuosuarez1279 aftermarket pump atleast a Walbro 450 (there are several compatible E85 pumps on the market). Fuel injectors that are flex fuel or E85 compatible. PTFE Fuel Hose we ran a Feed & Return for it with an Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator rated up to 100 PSI & that’s pretty much it.

What type of gains did you get from the cam swap ?
@hubcityhotrodstv83745 ай бұрын
@@heyrwetsfdsfsdfsdf8119 small gains but varies depending on other supporting mods such as better flowing intake and cylinder head setup. Just a basic cam swap would be 15-30hp possibly & better torque on most applications . Other than that the sound of the car idling is what’s been most of my customers reasons for swapping camshafts.
@hubcityhotrodstv83745 ай бұрын
@@heyrwetsfdsfsdfsdf8119 swapping the cam for the most part of my experience is customers want that aggressive sounding chop. But ideally you want to spec a cam to your application because a really high lift aggressive cam isn’t going to function or give you any more power if you don’t have the fueling or airflow required for the cam to properly do its job.

Was this with a stock converter? What cam did they go with?
@hubcityhotrodstv83746 ай бұрын
Yes this was with a stock concerter the cam chosen is a 228/232 .600/.600 112 LSA. The car currently has an aftermarket Circle D 3600 Stall & a Holley High Ram, actually daily driven now. I need to do an update on the car soon.

Great info and job done. I recently inherited a 1970 Nova.. It has factory disc brakes up front. I doing a front end, bushing replacement. I would surely want you to do it for me.. Your work is exceptional.. I reconditioned all under car and engine compartment. Ive replaced many parts and body bushings. Engine and tranny are being completely rebuilt. Decided to do all new wiring, as it was under carport for nearly 40 years. I Sub'd and look forward to following your work.

Owner of the car here. The final dyno pull of the car netted 392 hp and 382 torque on a mustang dyno. The title of this video is right on as this car has been a journey over the last 2 years. Bought in January 2022, I am the fourth owner and have been restoring and modifying it from a busted interior to the spun cam bearing it had. Lots of lessons learned in chasing down gremlins and figuring things out to get it just right. The car had definitely been worked on before unbeknownst to us as we discovered the engine had already been pulled before. Before all the issues started cropping up, it never gave any sign of problems and had a clear title anyway so we suspected nothing. As we dug deeper, other signs of shoddy work were discovered. The story itself is way too long to type out but Murphy's law was definitely a theory that kept popping up. It all got ironed out in the end though and its currently running clean and smooth. Other mods to follow but pretty happy as things stand for now.

Why a Atomic over a Fast 102 ? The LS6 valley cover is a excellent conversion if you have the intake off...all my F bods get it. I avoid any thing with rod ends on the rear suspension...to damm noisey for my taste. The eldebrock WP also has no hump like the LS2 WP
