@@heyrwetsfdsfsdfsdf8119 small gains but varies depending on other supporting mods such as better flowing intake and cylinder head setup. Just a basic cam swap would be 15-30hp possibly & better torque on most applications . Other than that the sound of the car idling is what’s been most of my customers reasons for swapping camshafts.
@hubcityhotrodstv83745 ай бұрын
@@heyrwetsfdsfsdfsdf8119 swapping the cam for the most part of my experience is customers want that aggressive sounding chop. But ideally you want to spec a cam to your application because a really high lift aggressive cam isn’t going to function or give you any more power if you don’t have the fueling or airflow required for the cam to properly do its job.

@hubcityhotrodstv83742 жыл бұрын
As long is it didn’t skip a tooth on the cam sprocket it wouldn’t kiss the piston. Oil pump wasn’t in his budget, unfortunately this was an emergency replacement for the balancer and turned into a little bit more. Good thing is it still has great oil pressure but I would’ve replaced the oil pump too if the customer would have agreed to it.

I removed the rack because I like to clean the rack and other parts in the area. I removed the heads because I don’t do cam swaps with out doing lifters. I won’t do a new cam with 150,000 mile lifters. If you just do half style work that’s all you, we do work differently.
