People online seem to think psilocybin is useless if your on an SSRI, so this is not true, you just need more psilocybin right?

Ive been on sertraline for about 6 months now, they've changed my life, allowed me to get to know myself as im suppose to be instead of this angry, grouchy miserable person that i had come to believe was just who I was, what kind of person i was, i realise now depression had affected me in ways that i didn't really relate to depression, it wasnt all typical sadness, but im happy taking them even though i would have been against taking meds to deal with these things before, i have considered weening off after a year or so to see if i could stay as i am now or would the depression come back, if so id like to try psilocybin. Im a recovering addict which had a lot to do with my recurring depression, clean now 4 and a half years, i think the stories of people being treated with psilocybin are fascinating and groundbreaking for medicine and people suffering with mental health issues, great video, very informative, thank you.

I was recommended to go from 10mg escitalopram - 5mg and went into crisis earlier this year. Had no idea that was withdrawal not "the real world coming back". 7.5mg currently but im reducing by 0.25mg for next step because 7.5-7 was still extremely nasty 😢. You'll never find this in official literature and seldom get thus advice from the Dr. that prescribed it 🙄

trust some 'institute' or other to push it's nose in. it's a biznis afterall and the mh 'profession' don't want to miss out on an income stream or have some 'layfolk' undermining them ... a pox on the mh biznis for what it is. it's an imperfect commercial abuse of human vulnerability. frankly i would rather go to a shamen in the jungle somewhere.

You explain things so well I've come to understand my depression and anxiety my mind so much better between lack of exercise and stressors in my environment, garbage I eat. I've been on celexa off and on for years I'm really looking forward to trying microdosing along with antidepressants I feel like the benefits are very strong.

This is an important topic, I have to admit I felt a little triggered at times. I’m watching this just after the news of the FDA not accepting MDMA therapy, it is unfortunate but also I find their reasoning understandable, mostly around ethics. I’m on the MAPS mailing list and I often cringe at the tone of their emails, Doblin thinking he is the savior of humanity with psychedelics. Psychedelics are so close to being legal and legitimate, but are really moving into ego inflation, spiritual narcissism and spiritual bypassing. There are many “coaches” out there who have no clinical or psych background, but fall more under this New Age umbrella where everything is all lovey dovey, people believe they are saving humanity or personally tasked with changing the world. There is no understanding of transference, counter transference or projection. So is it really your intuition or is it just ego inflation?

I've been talking desvenlafaxine for 3 years now im going to start tapering myself off. As i do so im going to take phylabcyben, so hopefully, i can get off it faster without going through the withdrawals.
