The rocket pods were expensive at the time. What they asking was a tall order.

2:04 My stupid ass thought the pilot was American and singing "Surfin' Bird", then I realized there was a lot of radio distortion and he was South Vietnamese. 🤦♂

I saw the f11f Blue Angels as a kid in the '60s. It inspired me to later get into Coast Guard Aviation - HH52a helo aircrew deployed to the far Arctic aboard icebreakers. I wasn't merely a Cold Warrior - I was a Froze My Butt Warrior 🥶

Very odd to see one bird trap while another follows down the port side. I wonder if that was some kind of emergency with a buddy along side?

It seemed that this model of air intakes was more complicated to make than the unique intake of the truncated fuselage adopted for almost all jet fighters of the time.

It’s like what cartoons in the 50-60’s thought the future would look like.

The jet at 1:09 VA+234 was used by Feldwebel Metzger for a Joyride, Feldwebel Metzger had some PPL lesson and the Manual, when he was entered the pilot seat at 5.Dezember in Jagel Marineflieger. Pilots who intercepted the illegal flight saw the well known planemecanic in Bw Parka and Earprotectors in the Cockpit. Metzger managed to land the plane in one piece.
