This clip and instruction was poor. Literally no explanation/notation. How many bars, time signatures if you were following, polyrhythms etc You were concentrating very hard what were you following? Repetitions? Groupings? This I think was more a demonstration. But i am a fan man and i mean that. You are certainly playing with conviction and some tricky stuff. Might have a look at your teaching website!

To learn this I had to change the 12345 to 1 + 2 + 3. Then the single roll is 1e+ 2 + 3 and 2 single rolls are 1e+ 2 +a3 + 4 +

Highly lyrical. A master workshop on tasteful soloing. He never loses sight of the melody. Its often tricky for many beginners to figure out what exactly fits with what. This a textbook, that needs to be studied repeatedly unless one is highly gifted.

I enjoy & value your content ! I'm not a beginner by any means, I was kind of a natural at it, so learning came from feeling & instinct... That said, I really appreciate your content ! You've helped me a few times getting myself out of a rut or reaching new plateaus! 🙏✨️👍

I've been playing with metric modulation in a piece I'm working on. I used 12/8 but this drum groove hits the pockets in the way I was trying. Definitely inspired

You are such a great group! Too bad today real finesse music can't appeal to the mainstream masses. O tempora O mores.

I found it confusing when you counted 2 single rolls as 1&2 3, 1&2 3 as that doesn't change anything. I think it should be 1&2 3, 4&1 2 which puts the dominant hand back on the 1

Hello, i have a practice question , how much should we practice everyday to have significant results, and still keep on with work and busy life? Cordially:)
@jacksonmiller30163 жыл бұрын
likely I'll be your only reply, so I will try my best to explain :). Basically, practice time does not need to be more than 30 minutes. If you can only squeeze in 10-20 minutes in a day that is totally fine! I recommend a log or journal to keep track of what you are practicing, what you want to learnm, and what you've learned. This especially will help you not get stuck in a rut either relearning things and/or not knowing what to learn next. Look up tutorials like these with patterns and tricks to give yourself something to practice when you have less time than 15 minutes. Even playing to a tune that is the genre you are looking to play will definitely boost your creativity and improv because the music is going and you have to keep up with it. I hope these help in some way. :)
