I just wanted to let you know that your videos are the best that I've seen for Stationeer Noobies trying to wrap their heads around this game! THANK YOU! 🤗😘🥰 It's frustrating as F*** to begin with (aka rage quit after repeatedly being dumped in a crater at the start of the game). Why make it needlessly annoying to get the boxes off of the lander to begin with and out of the crater!?!. And before anyone mansplains to use the jetpack - I shouldn't need to! To the Devs - Don't start the game by pissing off the players! Totally unnecessary!

Thank you so much for this video! I had a go at starting the game this afternoon but I was lost trying to understand the interface! I didn't understand how to switch tools for example. So your video has been really appreciated! Look forward to seeing more of your content about this game tomorrow! Thanks again!

Thank you for this content! I hope you will continue to cover this title (despite or because it is a niche title!). Stationeers content is thin on the ground despite it's long time in development!

Correction: Potential power @10:38 is what the "potential" supply is, in this case how much stored power is in the APC battery.

I personally prefer to place the stacker either directly beside the machine with 'one straight chute' spacing but without the chute, or on top of the machine with one corner and one straight chute and then an outlet to the left. The gap allows me to put stuff into the stacker like the three cables or plates i have left in my backpack. This also allows to use the coloring trick where items added to a painted stack will receive that color. When the stacker is on top of the machine purging the ingots will drop them right in front of the inlet.

With myself having nearly 1000 hours in Stationeers, this is one of the best tutorial videos I’ve seen. Nice! Looking forward to an ‘air-conditioning’ video. I always find it difficult to cool a Vulcan base. Would love to see a video on Solar tracking WITHOUT having to use code. Just with a couple of logic I/O’s? The position of the sensor always stumps me?

I have had Stationeers on my wishlist for years now, and have always been put off by the sheer complexity of this game, and more importantly, the dire lack of any good, easy to understand tutorials. This is what I have been waiting for, and hoping for, for a long time. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I feel confident that I can now buy this game, and actually begin to learn and understand everything this amazing game has to offer.

Excellent work! I just bought the game and I've watched a couple of other videos. Those videos were just ok in explaining WHAT to do. Your videos on the other hand are excellent in explaining HOW and in some cases WHY to do it. You had me hooked in the first few seconds of your introductory "1. Interface & Controls". I know I'll be referencing your videos repeatedly in the weeks to follow. It would serve the dev well to incorporate your videos into their game, even if it's only a link to your channel when the player clicks on the "Tutorials" button. I'm looking forward to more in this series!

Been a while since I played and it is hard getting used to the game again. You one of the only people making new content for this game and there are a lot of things that are diferent, though some of the basics are the same. On top of that, your videos are better than almost all of the others I have found. Unfortunately for you, this kind of video doesn't generate a huge amount of views quickly, but keep going!!! I am now a subscriber!

20:10 Unsure if covered elsewhere, but worth mentioning that the welder also produces heat. Even outside the external temp (bottom right display) goes from 7C to around 20C, so one can imagine extended use in an enclosed space could be "problematic".

I have tampered with active vents and Mars atmosphere quite a bit. The fact that you can change the safety limits on vents using simple logic makes for super simple automation of breathable atmosphere generation. Respond here if you want to learn a bit more beyond the scope of this tutorial 😊

Do you use cold night-time atmosphere then compress it to liquefy P and CO2 out to have just N and O2 left?
@wowailyich615
@wowailyich615 4 ай бұрын
@@AlekkiPlays Indeed, using 3x Vents (one for pressure, one for base input, one for base pressure relief). For Pollutant gathering I use one vent during the day. Making an exhaust with several one way valves you can raise the pressure in the pipe Networks during the day to continuously condense Pollutant at 5Mpa out of Mars atmo.
@sashgorokhov
@sashgorokhov Ай бұрын
Why would someone need condensed pollutant?
@AlekkiPlays
@AlekkiPlays Ай бұрын
@@sashgorokhov Pollutant makes a great expansion/condensation medium for "livable" temperatures. The phase change heat exchangers (which I don't touch on here as they're a more advanced topic) can use it was a work fluid between about -95C and 152C.
@wowailyich615
@wowailyich615 Ай бұрын
@@sashgorokhov Exactly what Alekki ist saying. Pollutant makes for an excellent gas for phase change mechanics betwewn -95 - +150 degrees as it has one of the widest response ranges of the gasses out there. Water would be even better - but only at temperatures above 0° Celsius, not below. I am currently expanding my tampering with vent to actually do Mars atmosphere separation only using phase change dynamics and separating the different gasses by manipulating their temperatures and pressures. Pollutant: needs normal temperature and moderate pressure to condense CO2: needs cold (night air works perfectly) Nitrogen: needs VERY cold (-90°) to condense, but -90° is still within the phase change range of Pollutant, if you manage to somehow get the Pollutant to be less than -10° Celsius on the "hot" side of a phase change system. Voila - only Oxygen left. Clean separation for VERY little power use (50-100W for 1-2x Phase change devices, 100W for an Active Vent and optionally 100W per Purge Valve installed as safety in the system. To make it a really automatic "set it and forget it" system, I will probably need to to some IC10 coding of a few Digital Valves or alternatively use atmospheric filtering units (without filters!) as quasi pressure regulators with built in pipe analyzers (filtration units can read all gas data on both input and output ports.)

Hey Alekki can you show atmospheric tutorials? Also keeping temp and what good for breathing in base 64% nitro and 36% o2? Thanks for doing the video which makes the game more entertaining since tutorial is malfunctioning.
@AlekkiPlays
@AlekkiPlays 4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I am planning to circle back to those systems in a few episodes. Once I cover the basics, I will dedicate a number of episodes to actually playing through the early game in sequence with step by step explanations (first breathable room, airlock, a water system, first temperature control, getting food, etc) For atmosphere I've always used O2 and CO2 in some acceptable mix, with some tangential N left over from the oxite atmosphere approach I show in this video. Now some plants need a little N, so replentishing N may make sense. In the past I also did all my industry in a separate vacuum room so there was little risk of explosions with a high O2 atmosphere in my living quarters as I never handled Volatiles there. With the next update a lot of that may change as it will incentivize not being in your suit 24/7, so a breathable atmosphere in my industry room may be desirable.
@wowailyich615
@wowailyich615 4 ай бұрын
If you remove CO2 and Pollutant from Mars air, you end up with the 64/36 gas mix you mention whichbis good enough for breathing. For a more realistic atmosphere you would want to get something like 23% oxygen, 2 percent CO2 and 75% nitrogen, but it has no effect ingame.

What a complicated controls 🙈 Thank you very much for videos, but I give up on this game. I expected to solve engineering tasks, but I found myself struggling with inventory management and unnecessarily complicated interactions with objects. Again, thank you for video, you made explanations as simple as possible, without it I would drop the game way earlier 😅

You're welcome! Sorry the game isn't working out for you. I agree that the controls are quite complicated. Though if you do manage to get over that learning curve, they become second nature and there's 100s or 1000s of hours of fun in the main systems of the game (plus the devs are very active in adding/improving content multiple times a year so it still feels quite fresh 1100+h in).
