That is a sweet horn I played one in jazz band when I was a teenager. It’s incredible that Yamaha makes so many instruments, trumpet, sax, keyboards, guitars they are doing the deal for a very long time offering instruments to us. Keep it up Yamaha.

I should also mention I have the opportunity to purchase one, however, "unplayed" due to being such a distance from them all. @HornTrader. I've known of Guarnerius for several years. Are these overall good horns (for the price point)? 5/23/2024
@HornTrader2 ай бұрын
Yes Made by Kanstul mostly out of pure copper it is an EXCELLENT horn at that price point. It is One of the most beautiful horns ever to behold. Patterned after a Mt Vernon Bach. The horn looks brand new without any signs of repair or damage. Not even a mute ping inside the bell. Slight wear of lacquer on the receiver is only sign of use…
@SoundScientist12 ай бұрын
@@HornTrader. Apologies for not being clearer with the phrasing of my question. This horn was apparently designed for a "mellower" sound than I need. (I eventually need to purchase another horn that can be used for lead work. That gives more brassy "sizzle" when you put a nice flow of air through it). I was generally inquiring about whether ALL the intermediate & pro level "Guarnerius" horns are good trumpets for the $money? Are they all being made in the Kanstul workshop (under the Guarnerius brand)?

@@HornTrader. Yes, Sir. I recently viewed & heard your video on that Benge CG Model. BEAUTIFUL horn. However, it will most likely be gone by the time I get the $$funds together. | Whoah. Thanks for the alert. I had no idea that "Kanstul" was no longer in operation. (Seems like our pro-level American trumpet manufacturers are gradually closing. ☹️).

Beautiful sound, you ever think about being on the inside of trumpet design, you’ve got a bunch of talent and a world of knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, I’ve bought and played some harrelson trumpets only to go back to the Selmer 80J every time. They are pretty for sure got some neat gadgets but won’t stand with the 80 j for sure , I listen to the harry james trumpet in on of your old videos , that was a one of: specifically made for harry , ( had his signature) awesome sound for sure , your one the few ( very few) that can bring such horn like that to life, I’ve sold all the harrelson trumpets and his crazy mouthpiece designs, I’ll take the 28 bore 3c and of course the 3c jazz ( Chet baker ) every time .
