I definitely want to buy me a SCHILKE horn but I can't decide whether I want a tunable Bell like you're demonstrating here or the cheaper regular fixed Bell. In all your years of experience, what are the pros and cons of a tunable Bell and a regular fixed Bell?

Like I said in the video. You could have bells of different material or larger flare or even bells from other manufacturers. With the bell closer to your ear it's speaks quicker and also put the blow resistance either in front or the end of the horn depending where you like the bell placed. One other thing say you damage the bell they're are easily replaceable....... Thanks for tuning in the HornTrader! Best Steve :)

@@HornTraderI was told by instrument repairman that the tunable bell is meant to tune the instrument while the tuning slide tunes the 4th partial. Is that true from your experience?

@@pitgroove.37_66 Not Sure if that's true I'll ask Schilke, But, They a lighter in weight than conventional braced horn, more balanced, and bell does vibrate more freely with out the obstructive lower bell bracing.
