Sick! I just ordered a relic Telecaster off Aliexpress. Hope it kicks ass like your guitar. (Was going to get another Squier Classic Vibe from Guitar Center, but they only had a couple in stock, and no classic vibe teles, so I thought screw 'em, I'll get one from Aliexpress for half the price of the classic vibe)

your lessons are fabulous. i have been trying to catch a flat pick rhythem and just couldnt get it until i saw you explain it and do it slow for me. Now i cant slow down. If your ever in NC in between Kenly and Princeton down in the bottom of Princeton Kenly Rd. find the old tobacco barn with the guitar nailed to it and come on up to the high dungeon or the pack house. hollar out flat pick nation and well hollar back now.

Great vid's. What's the name of the opening tune on your videos? The chord you can't remember is F#dimished. (although it can also be called C#dim, D#dim or Adim) Thanks.

The first one only couse the core of the sound is the middle and sticking out and love it when you do a flatpicking traditional song. The middle in a guitar should hit and carry the guitar like that.🙏😍

Man your playing was spot on! I just wish you taught it a little slower and said each string name as you picked it. Like broke it up into patterns. Was too hard to follow

Only thing I don’t like about it is the gold pegs etc it’s just a personal preference and mine is Crome. But the sound is second to none for the money I agree 👌🏻 I’m only beginning my journey and couldn’t afford it but did have the opportunity to play in store. I ended up with a Yamaha fgx720sca secondhand and I love depth it presents from its aged qualities. I’ve definitely become accustomed to the Yamaha neck verse over guitars I’ve tried to play. Just can’t go past them I don’t reckon. Love the your passion and music mate 👍🏻

Most of the time people that can't afford a genuine Martin or Gibson are into lesser (known) brands and lift them up to being the guitar they are never gonna part with. Having both a good Martin D35 , a Gibson J200 and an Ovation Custom Legend I must say here that my Levin W32 from the mid seventies (it is mahogany bodied) is a guitar I will never part with! Simply better than a Martin D18 and on parr with a Martin D28.

How do these compare to Dunlop prime tones in your opinion? A bit apprehensive about paying $35-40 for a pick.

Hey Patrick, love your videos. Curious to know have you ever tried a tone slab flat pick? I know you like Blue Chip and so do I. It’s supposed to be the same price but different material. Please let me know. Thanks Merry Christmas

I have been playing this song since I first heard it in 1972 on Will the Circle be Unbroken. I never got the solo to work like this and I "crash and burn" if I try to do something fancy, especially if I am playing alone. I love your advice about keeping it simple and improvising. I will be coming back to this video to pick up some more licks. Great teaching, thank you.
