What pisses me off is when your pip on the bar and your got four places to come in and you get double sixes.

This video was great. Question: In the 2nd game when you rolled double 6's, why not make the 7 point, and then go 13 to 1 for the lose hit?

yes ok...but this is by computer generated dice, which punish the wrong moves. i played the game...unrealistic. i like your live over the board analysis of real games. these games are not real. PC generates dice based on bias algorythm. meaning...if you dont make the move the pc recommends it will punish you.
@PavilionInvestments

notice how after the 4 1 prime play you made on the 7 pt..he rolled a 1 1 that would have punished you severely had you taken on the ace. its exactly what im saying above...PC arranges the numbers and determines the outcome already based on your moves, favor increasing more and more towards the player with less error, there is no chance in essence just error based format...good way to learn the game professionaly but not realistic.

another great sequence is the next roll. he makes a "bad move" attacking on the 5 pt and you roll a 5 5, lol which not only enters but punished the blot on the 3 point. my pt exactly is the 55 was already in the slot you just didnt know, AI knew and thats how you have to play this game is automatically assume the AI will punish your play no matter little error difference it is, it will punish the play from 2nd best on down...and 75% reward the least error made, all the time. take it with a grain of salt. AI has the dice generated before you even click roll.

At 36:50 white has 58% wins and 13% gammons and the cube is a borderline take/pass. Then at 54:20 the opponent has more advantages in 3 fronts: 1- his wins is higher at 63%; his gammons chances are twice higher; 3- He has a higher score in the match (now 2 against the previous 0). So the cube should be even more of a pass, but now it's a total take? What gives?

Just fantastic. Marc 'lifts the veil' on how a grandmaster approaches the 2 or 3 key turning points - and plenty of others - to lift your game from OK to outstanding. It's never simply what's the best move with the throw I just made but always, what will help me win the game eventually - the next 2/3/4/... throws. Play the long game or be prepared to lose more than you win. Awesome... 🥰

Great vid… don’t understand why Marc avoided making the golden point, or even discussing making the golden point in his home board on the game 3. Weird. Would have been nice to understand why as he got hit here a few minutes later.

Double 2 40:27 min in. I would have used 3 of them to build an anchor at the 20 point and then 6/4 even though you've said the 4 point is slightly better than the 20 point, but in this case I wouldn't be so afraid of getting hit because he is stacked and stripped in his prime position...

Marc, your opponent’s initials are probably MSG since his player name is the chemical formula.

They ruined the game by the introduction of the cube. They made it from an enjoyable pastime into a mere gambling and data crunch hurdle.

@36:18 I still hold it is impossible for an unbiased human player to tell, so we should deal with it as a 50-50 even though it probably is not so. About the gammon chance, don't even bother to fathom a guess. Dealing with the cube, obviously pass to hold the lead for one more game.

@52:09 I think he rushed it to double. It is still too soon to tell; hence, he makes a 50-50 move_ basically reduces his game to flipping one coin.

Read a Backgammon book, played a bunch of matches on 247backgammon and played my gf and assumed I was ready to head to Galaxy and start playing. Immediately lost my first match 1-7 and had like a 40% error rate :(. Seeing this level of play is unreal to me.

After playing on one of these boards, I sold my existing best board and ordered one. I compared all the boards available and the felt makes it quieter than most boards, and all the reviews praised the attention to detail. I have another 2.5 months before it arrives but it will be worth the wait as it will be a board that I have for the rest of my life.
