You can always tell when non car people talk cars..... your talking about it broke a closed course record AND SHOW A SUPERBIRD The daytonas will always be faster because they were built for speed the superbird was too BUT they had to sell a butt load more of them to be legal which means they took some styling grace.

Using a stock Daytona Clone in an Aero test that was made to meet the 500 sold nascar issue and not let's say Bobby Isaac's Real Daytona or Richard Pettys Superbird is silly. The Real Deal and the clone are seperated by light years of engineering ingenuity. Anyone who knows what a real Daytona vs a stock factory Daytona looks like knows the visual is extremely different let alone the actual Aero. Remember Bobby and his Team did 216 mph in the standing mile on the Bonneville salt in 1971, that's bad ass.

You can compare it all you want to modern cars but the fact remains that it was so dominant in nascar that it was banned. This was the first production car to acheive 200 mph. Ford and xhevy were so out classed they threatened drop nascar racing altogether. Waaahhh

we should go to wing suits to mimic the quetzalcoatlus and pterodactyls, enabling slow flight and landings, we 've had the squirrel.

Always found this study fascinating, My Low Budget Field studies,, with my twin 68 Dodge Dart,, One still Slant6 and other V8 swap, Since Lowering frront is easy due to Torsion Bar adjustment, While Windshield is wet, Stock height,, like most late 60s car's nose pointed up, Absolutely No Water will move at Speed, none, only after Lowering my Dart, until Water would move " about 8 to 10 inches of the top, did I finally get a difference in overall stability, especially at speed over 85mph and over 110mph.. also opening cowl vents,,

I have serious reservations about the guy heading up this project. Something's not right there, I can't pinpoint it, but the whole thing seems off and he is the center of it. Maybe it's because they're Canadian! HaHa!

I'm in KW, get me suit, I'll fuck shit up with a tether instead of being bolted down Just put some serious matting on the ground for when I inevitably smash my teeth off the ground. I want to land, On my belly, with a Kevlar suit. Like a slip and slide Or, make a fabric that lets us using the wind flowing through it to charge a super cap system, then before hitting the ground, burst this charge backwards for around 5 seconds to slow yourself to 15-30mph Like spreading your wings before grabbing pray off the ground after swooping down at top speed.

Technology is a great thing, the hellcat puts out more HP. on the street than a NASCAR 426 Hemi did on the track and does it way cleaner and there should be improvements in 45 years plus the Hellcat is half the distance off the ground compared to the Daytona . Just an opinion .

It's sad seeing these classic cars not be driven any more because they are too valuable. When I was in college in 1976, one of the guys in my dorm actually had a Plymouth SuperBird that was his daily driver. They weren't even that expensive around that time. None of the muscle cars were. You could pick them all up used for a song.

I hate to break it to those engineers, that stock Daytona ain’t going 200 mph. Richard Petty did 200+ in a highly modified Daytona RACE car. There is a HUGE difference.
