For precision shooting, Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) range ammunition is suboptimal. According to recent information from CCI, their FMJ rounds are not advised for use within 10 yards. While these rounds maintain reasonable accuracy within the 10-20 yard range, they fail to meet the stringent accuracy standards expected by marksmen. Specifically, CCI Blazer, Independence, and Speer FMJ ammunition, whether sold in boxes or in bulk, exhibit copper jacket splitting after traversing the pistol rifling. This degradation results in a significant loss of accuracy from 3 inches to several feet off the point of aim beyond 20 yards.

@tombeef453410 күн бұрын
@@PhatTactical from what I saw in my FTE(xtract) and after checking the extractor spring tension I highly suspect the throating of the barrel is not correct. My extractor had great tension when I placed a round against the breach face. It would make sense too if they are stretching their tooling as far as possible to keep costs down. The other theory I saw is the striker spring is overpowered causing the striker to knock the case off the extractor after the trigger is pulled. Not sure I buy this as much cause the striker fires with the gun in full battery so you should have essentially zero movement between the breach face and casing. The way I see it the cartridge has nowhere to go until the round goes off and brings the slide back out of battery. I have the ability to get the barrel reamed but since the gun is brand new it’s on Canik to make it right…

Welcome to the club.....glad you had a great time and enjoyed the course of fire. I also shot Limited Optics in this match and yeah, it was a very different challenge than most indoor matches and other clubs with smaller bays. The longer shots are a cool part of this club b/c the bays are all big enough to stretch out a couple shots per stage and build some bigger field courses. Shooting 4 bigger stages with a decent bit of side to side or forward / backward movement definitely makes it fun, in my opinion. I have shot these club matches with everything from PCC, CO, LO, Limited, Production, and even Single Stack, which is a whole different beast with a 36 round stage and 20 yards of movement :), but always enjoyed the size of the match. Hope to see you again out there soon and will try to squad with you if you want to brainstorm some more on stage plans. That stage 3 was a monster, and even being the person to set it up, I still had to go over my plan like 3 or 4 times to make it efficient.
