A Vee Two key chain! I use Moto Safe ear plugs, the strongest ones. About $45- which is nothing to protect our hearing. When it’s gone, it’s gone

I actually don’t understand the value of 90% of wind screens. They just cause buffeting and prevent proper helmet aerodynamics. Either full windshield that goes above your head or none at all.
@cycletorquemotoАй бұрын
They do a lot more than just create noise, reducing fatigue at high speeds, preventing cold air from punching into your body and can improve aerodynamics. I’ve no problem with them, but people need to understand they can make the ride loud enough to damage hearing.

Out of Interest, how do you manage the licencing issue. Vietnam doesn’t recognise Australian licences or IDP. 🤷♂️
@cycletorquemotoАй бұрын
Vietnam Motorbike Tours organise an International Droving permit issued in Vietnam, which the local authorities recognize.

Vibes for me. Tried several others, including the foam, and these were the best for riding. The foam were actually better at reducing ALL noise. The Vibes reduced loud noises while still allowing me to hear my in-helmet speakers and traffic. It's hard to describe but the best way I can explain it is that with the foam I could hear nothing and with no protection all I could hear is wind noise. With the Vibes I could hear my music, car horns, etc while the wind noise was significantly reduced, but not totally gone.
@HdtjdjbszhАй бұрын
full thength screens are a godsend for wind noise, as well as those silly fluffy helmet covers!

@cycletorquemotoАй бұрын
@@EWAScotland it’s different, but I’d reckon if you don’t like the other suspension on the 650s you won’t like it on the Bear.

Best of the 650 versions.
@cycletorquemotoАй бұрын
Each to their own, of course - I like the Shotgun and Bear, but I can understand why others might prefer the Super Meteor, Interceptor or Continental GT. The USD forks on the Bear do help take it to a new level, and a good set of aftermarket shocks set-up for the rider's weight would make it even more fun.

The best thing about this bike, is that it’s low cost. You can park it, drop it, crash it, and you won’t be precious about it. Also in the brown, it’ll disappear when it’s parked, and won’t attract too much attention to it when travelling.
@cycletorquemotoАй бұрын
Hmm, you may be right, but its low cost also means it’s cheap to run and easy to maintain. Others may consider its best features low weight, simplicity and riding position. Plus versatility…

12 grand for a LEARNER bike. Thats completeley stupid. how was it a bargain hahhaha
@stavencapp8 ай бұрын
I honestly dont know why triumph bothered. Because they had to reduce the stroke slightly to remove 15cc because of australias stupid laws. Most of the power loss (its literally half the HP of the 675) is done via ECU and a throttle stop. Virtually all the other manufacturers who have a LAMS model (talking the likes of suzukis SV650), the engine was already compliant and the restriction was done via ECU, so it made sense to release a LAMS compliant model. Tho i guess Ill say this, in the SV650 example i gave, the restriction was easily lifted simply by cutting the pink wire going to the ECU, didnt even need a reflash or ECU swap, instant extra 30 HP.

I sold my fz1 because if the tight knee bend. I bought a super tenere because its so comfy and way easier for my knee to put in long miles. Another plus is the longer suspension travel. But I sure miss that engine. Except for the knee bend this looks like it good be a good fit. I really liked the tracer 9 gt too. It's too bad this didn't have lower pegs for a bit more room

@defylifeadventure8 ай бұрын
Nowhere near lightweight, but he also left out a few other negatives about the bike. It was more like an advertorial compared to the MAD TV guys.
@cycletorquemoto8 ай бұрын
Be great if it were lighter - but the CFmoto is about the same and there aren’t many lighter adventure bikes - sure, some exotica, but on a price-to-weight equation what else is there? Lighter bikes are usually enduros.

452 cc single Power : 40 bhp Torque: 40Nm 21 inch wheels upfront, 17 inch at the rear Water cooled 43mm USD showa forks upfront with 200mm travel Linked monoshock at the rear with 200mm travel The suspension is neither too stiff not too soft, it’s very well tuned. It’s non adjustable (I own the bike, so this is my view). I would say suspension is the USP of this bike TFT instrument cluster has excellent readability and has all the information you need. Engine is DOHC set up. Seat height is adjustable. Either 825mm or 845mm Ground clearance is 230mm I guess this covers most of the specs, if you need to know anything else, just comment and can update you.

I get looks everywhere.....Harley guys wonder wtf it is. I've never seen another on the road. Only complaint is accessories are hard to come by. But mine with a Mustang seat,led lights,Madstad windshield is only some bags away from being complete.
