good review! Nice images of all sides of the bike. Better than most reviews out there that show only the riders perspective and limited sight from viewers point of view

I have the roadking. Nit bought a street 500 for mu daughter and wife to learn on. Perfect for that. And I have fun running short aerraround town. It's a fun toy for me to blast around on Have the load pipe. It sounds bad ass fora little bike. They need to start making them again

“Can it go off road? No.” Shows the bike driving off road totally fine.

The KLR650 is the same price, only 7kg more and has 35% more torque. KLR is also waay more spacious in terms of the legroom.

12 grand for a LEARNER bike. Thats completeley stupid. how was it a bargain hahhaha

I honestly dont know why triumph bothered. Because they had to reduce the stroke slightly to remove 15cc because of australias stupid laws. Most of the power loss (its literally half the HP of the 675) is done via ECU and a throttle stop. Virtually all the other manufacturers who have a LAMS model (talking the likes of suzukis SV650), the engine was already compliant and the restriction was done via ECU, so it made sense to release a LAMS compliant model. Tho i guess Ill say this, in the SV650 example i gave, the restriction was easily lifted simply by cutting the pink wire going to the ECU, didnt even need a reflash or ECU swap, instant extra 30 HP.

I sold my fz1 because if the tight knee bend. I bought a super tenere because its so comfy and way easier for my knee to put in long miles. Another plus is the longer suspension travel. But I sure miss that engine. Except for the knee bend this looks like it good be a good fit. I really liked the tracer 9 gt too. It's too bad this didn't have lower pegs for a bit more room

Nice review mate! I own a Tracer 900GT which I absolutely love but I will be very keen to take one of these for a test ride when Suzuki make them available in Australia.

Nearly 200kg wet is considered lightweight now is it?

Nowhere near lightweight, but he also left out a few other negatives about the bike. It was more like an advertorial compared to the MAD TV guys.

Be great if it were lighter - but the CFmoto is about the same and there aren’t many lighter adventure bikes - sure, some exotica, but on a price-to-weight equation what else is there? Lighter bikes are usually enduros.

It is good to have some technical information included in the review. For a bike that I wouldn't call very exciting... this thing is creating some excitement. Looking forward to seeing these on the roads and trails.

452 cc single Power : 40 bhp Torque: 40Nm 21 inch wheels upfront, 17 inch at the rear Water cooled 43mm USD showa forks upfront with 200mm travel Linked monoshock at the rear with 200mm travel The suspension is neither too stiff not too soft, it’s very well tuned. It’s non adjustable (I own the bike, so this is my view). I would say suspension is the USP of this bike TFT instrument cluster has excellent readability and has all the information you need. Engine is DOHC set up. Seat height is adjustable. Either 825mm or 845mm Ground clearance is 230mm I guess this covers most of the specs, if you need to know anything else, just comment and can update you.

Bought a 14 Storm in exact color with the aftermarket pipes and 2000km on it for 10k C$ 5 years ago. A Harley would have cost me over 20k here. Great bike, the wife even loves it. I get looks everywhere.....Harley guys wonder wtf it is. I've never seen another on the road. Only complaint is accessories are hard to come by. But mine with a Mustang seat, led lights,Madstad windshield is only some bags away from being complete.

Had an 09 with the offroad stage 1 tune (Eh) . First 3 gears have a 7% retard is what I've always understood. Looks like you were getting wheel spin at the beginning ( which is probably good cause this beast will wheely off the line). Shifts were to high also. Bike stock was a torque beast even though severely detuned from the factory. Carpenter upgrades 240/270 hp would really unleash it and I was tempted but my guardian angel said he couldn't keep up.
