You are officially starting to enter 'storm hog' territory, maybe a hard job to catch NE NSW / SE QLD, but breathing down their neck ! Well done Mate. In last place and yet to get off the start mark is the Illawarra / South Coast of NSW. My car has to have a timing belt change (rattles at 1500rpm) so stuck with cautious local chases for a while. Nice shingle back as well.

In Adelaide we had a bit of storms at about 2 O’clock in the afternoon. Then we had a bit more at around 6 PM.

Great video! If Whyalla was closer to Adelaide I would've chased the storm myself... At around 10.50 it looked almost like a tornado might form.

@@darrenshawphotography i know the feeling :) few years back iw as chasing a big thunder storm and we had 3 super cells who got merged in to 1 angry storm and we where a little to close to but we had some one on radar watch at home luckly , but the feeling to be close i understand all to well :)

Really cool video Darren. If I may ask, what are your go to settings when setting out to capture lightning and what lightning trigger do you use?

Thank you. In the day light and when I use my trigger I just set my camera to get the right exposure and at night I set my camera up at around 20sec f7.1 and iso 100. The lightning trigger a guy was making them but unfortunately he has stopped making them now they work so good..

Something like this must of smashed the 6 or so large transmission towers in Northern South Australia and Broken Hill area about a week ago, they reckon it could take months to repair, must of been an at least EF3 tornado in there someone to take those huge towers down?

Awesome footage, was a crazy storm... watching it roll through overhead at on top of the BF was unreal, no shelter from it and it literally went straight over us, wind speed at the airport registered at over 102kph, felt a lot more than that.

Hi Darren, I just watched this on a 65-inch TV. At 4:59 seconds, the big CG was actually lightening coming off the railway line about 50 or so metres from you. You can see it on this side of the bush. Love your work, but keep safe.
