Lateness is such poor form . Only one of you got that extra half hour in bed. Best of going alone. Nice video though

It's "The Beacons", not "The Brecons". It's like calling the Yorkshire Dales "The Yorkshires". 😊

Nice ride, Steve. I prefer my 1250 GSA to the new 1300 - when the warranty is up next year it would be cheaper to buy an extended warranty than a new bike and at 3 years old, it will really still be new anyway.

Smashing video of my part of the world. I am 61, an aging 125 rider, but I regularly visit the Brecon beacons through the spring/summer/autumn months. There really are a plethora of places to visit, with hidden gems all around - the whole area is a true treasure to be enjoyed. Glad you enjoyed my part of the world.

As an early riser I cannot abide being late. This reason alone puts me off *ever* riding in a group. Throw in the different abilities of different riders (I for one am a slow-Norris) and it becomes a perfect recipe for disaster (see TeaPotOne's current tour of Scotland). I tend to ride solo, or at most with my brother. The great thing about riding early in the day are the scents that are all-encompassing, especially in the spring and early summer. If you want a decent bike meet to ride out to from Cov I can highly recommend Poole Quay on a hot summer Tuesday evening (starts around 6:00pm). I have known 3,000 bikes to turn out. Alternatively the Cotswolds are on your doorstep, and they have some fabulous roads to enjoy.

I concur entirely regarding tardiness. Fully fueld and ready to go means just that. This is the second time he's ridden with someone and they've arrived late.

You say 'never stand on the grass in these lay-by's' - why not? Very interesting video, especially as a non biker myself. Thanks for posting.

Because everyone who needs a piss (or worse) does it on the grass...

@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne Just up the road not far from the tunnel you passed through used to be a public toilet, Monmouth council deemed it to expensive to maintain so pulled it down. Anyway thanks for the tip - from a naive Welsh man!

Some people out for a drive ,allow their mutts ,to sh💩t in the grass when stopping in lay- by’s . Not very nice stuff to transfer to your foot pegs & doesn’t smell very nice either .
@fenrichlee28675 ай бұрын
@@maskedavenger2578 Yes, yes I know exactly what you mean, I live on a small private estate, yet there a few here who will persistently leave their dog sh*t where ever it's dropped - not bothering to clean it up - they are lazy dirty gits who lower the tone of the place.

Just bought my new 2024 R 1250 GSA Triple Black…looking forward to catching up with your channel now…thinking of bringing my family to the UK next spring and staying in the Lake District…any recommendations on places to say or things to see would be great. We want to see the English countryside more than the cities!

Brilliant vlog. did the Elan Valley and Aberystwyth route 2 years ago and it was 35 degrees. it was a bit challenging although only had to go back to Hereford, so not quite as long a day.

Nice watch, though I don't envy you doing it on a weekend. We NEED some decent weather! There's a nice mountain road that goes around the other side of the reservoir that if you went from Aber to Machynlleth and turned right in the town it brings you out between Llanidloes and that viewing point.
