Considering my percentile, profile and CS score I am borderline clearing the CS. I have a chance at OSCM at best or maybe SM. My question is: Does IIM Mumbai have umbrella placements? If it does, then is there any discrimination by companies coming on campus to hire? For Eg: Do they discriminate between a Mba core student, an OSCM student or a SM student while placements? I am only concerned with placements and my interest area lies in Prod man, consulting & strategy, general management etc. I am not interested in SM, but I will opt for it purely from a placement perspective (if there is umbrella placement and no discrimination). Is it a good idea? Thank you for reading, I am open to ideas and criticism!

I have done my post graduation in MBA(marketing) from quantum university. Quantum university is in uttrakhand roorkee . Quantum university has quiet good infarstucture and if we compare the fee from exam i.e cat/mat/zat your overall percentage of 10/12 and graduation which is good for middle class family. All the faculties of Quantum are phd's and have experince of more than 5 to 6 years .Quantum university do provide dual specialization one as a major and the other as in minor subject. placemnts are quiet good i got placed reliance company with starting package of LPA.

Hello mam, i have scored a very less percentile in cat and their is less chances for me in xat as well, so i know if i want to do mba this year only i have to do it from a tier3/4 college, would you suggest me to pursue my Mba from these colleges? by the way i have already taken a drop year for CAT24, Now i am stuck dont know what to do, my profile is 10th - 66%, 12th- 68% Grad- 58% with no prior experience. i am thinking of another option to find a job for now, my interest is in finance, so should i get a job now so that i can get 12-18 months of experience in finace before MBA and then again give cat and get into a good college or should i get into a B- School now and try to do better there but 1 thing is also there that in these B- Schools which i am getting now dont have a good ROI, their fees is around 14-18 lakh but Avg package is around 7-8 lpa?

thank u for sharing. I hugely underestimated the exam and overestimated myself and now faced biggest reality check this time, though i hope things turn out better for me, gonna give my all, and what u said about comparing yourself with others who are in a better place careerwise stuck a chord with me, jealousy is humane and i too am not immune to it, but its making me want to try harder, fail faster and get back at it sooner. i seldom leave a comment highlighting my shortcomings prolly wanna have an unblemished track record 😅. but ur story resonated with me and felt compelled to leave one , we all have our own journey, this is the takaway i am taking from ur story, and what u said about this not being the end of the world, cant agree more 🙏..wishing everyone who is in the same predicament, i pray that u all succeed, and make urselves proud.

Absolutely wrong information.. You get weekly evening classes at IGNOU for support. Second, the fee is not Rs 15,000, it is based on courses selected. Total would be around 62k. Third, books and sessions are hardly delayed. So please do proper research before propagating the information…
