Looking back after this lecture, I can't help but feel a certain Merkavah vibe from Tarkovski's Stalker.

Justin, I’m a Conservative Jew who likes to approach texts on their own terms as much as possible, eg, when I learn Torah, I begin with the text and first move into Abarbanel’s questions (not his responses) before seeking out Rashi’s (or anyone else’s) commentary; I don’t start with Kehati when I’m studying Mishnah (if anything, I prefer the Mishnah Sedurah’s Kav v’Naki commentary before jumping into anything expressly influenced by the Gemara). I would like to approach the Zohar similarly; however, most of the Kabbalah/Zohar study in which I have engaged opens with an inherent Lurianic perspective. I have begun studying the Or Ne’erav, and it seems to fit better with my essential modality, but I’m struggling to place it alongside the Zohar in study. Do you believe there is an ideal way to study them in parallel, or should one simply study each of them on their own and make the connections that present themselves.

Heh. Your picture of Kant with the caption, "Leave me and my transcendental deduction out of this", to contrast Marx's use of his ideas is spot on, Doctor Sledge. I'm pretty sure that Kant would have viewed Marxism in a very negative light, almost as if an ammonal materialist devil had appeared - with poor hygiene to boot! And that most anti-Kantian activity of irregular hours!

Hello, Dr. Sledge. I have carefully read a quite a few books on witchcraft. Anton's Satanic Bible, Joseph Delaney's Last Apprentice, and Neil Gaiman books. So I have a taste for this stuff! I chronically roll your Playlists day in - day out. As crazy as I type this; I am starting to believe Giants may have existed, Angel's may have been jealous, and Lucifer _is going to destroy God's most precious creation - Humanity!_

I have always found exaggerations in movies about exorcism rituals. I'm used to hearing about the Prayers of St. Basil the Great - these prayers are prayers with a special specificity (they are read in the form of a curse on the spirit and power of the evil, i.e. the devil) and must be read only in exceptional cases, and not for anything bad or unpleasant event in our life. I know that they must be read on a fasting day (some say that priests must observe black fasting - that is, only with water). I don't know exactly when they are read, I have heard of these prayers since childhood.

I’m an Old Rite Catholic, and in our one-year cycle of readings the mystical experience of Holy Apostle Paul is heard every Sexagésima Sunday (almost two weeks before Ash Wednesday). Each year I reflect deeply on what exactly happened to him, and what a “Third Heaven” means in terms of the prevailing cosmology of the age, and what it means for someone to enter ecstasy like that.

Thank you for the continued effort and spreading of interest in the exploring of the manifestions and inner workings of the limtless limit! This particular one felt assuredly and specifically akin to participating in college, finally - I briefly started in Utrecht at the UvH - and my dearest friend was actually waiting for me to join up in Amsterdam eventually. You might remember him - the giantslayer (samson's hair though) of stronghold. His kindness enabled me to read along with this post. My copy of the "Heresies" is one of his numerous gifts - but in no way comparable to his friendship and the value of his being. Lonely seekers stray with ease. I have no other expectation than to be covered in mud for the remainder of my life - but I do hear it's benificial for the skin. I am deeply grateful for his (and increasingly your) virtues. This field of the academia is the most valuable, in my humble opinion - from all angles and cultures. This is THE motivator and insparator that makes man(mostly)kind and unseparable from all that we are. So you have a secret student, confessio. I'm going to have to start contributing now, haven't I? silencio would have kept it pro Deo gratia 😂 and I shall, albeit within my light earthly load. I thank everyone who keep this field so interesting intellectually and all the ones,:or fives and sixes that dedicate their life to the only thing that matters - consciousness, and in my experience the unending, ineffable and pervasive love that moves without moving and is through being and notbeing. Thank you as well specfically for this channel, Dr. This keeps my wandering soul thinking and my overactive mind wondering. 😊

She is a signal woman, like Mary of Egypt, proving that no one is beyond God's reach; that even non virgins and worldly evil people can be placed in a profound mystical state regardless of the number of their faults. And that the Infinite does so lavishly freely as He wills and decides. Simone de Beauvoir wrote of her negatively, but I smell envy: Angela is a chosen soul. She in her utter helplessness has no other decision but to allow the divine activity pulsate in her; she advanced in the spirit faster than those who entered convents. Her works seem like it was written by someone who has been in the monastic discipline for a long time, but her life said otherwise: she had children and was worldly even at 40. We could only pray for us for the same benefits. A Blessed woman, a radical sign of her time; God never discriminates! Anna Maria Taigi is also one nearer to ours.

I have often thought that Christianity started out in a fist fight with "heretics" being referred to all through the new testament without explaining why said heretics were heretics or what they believed. It may be that the original promoters of Christianity were postulates who thought they knew more than the initiated in what was just one of the mystery cults of Judaism of the time taking some parables as being literally true when they only revealed hidden truths made known to the initiated. This would mean that Christianity was started by rank amateurs who took their bat and ball home in a huff.

i largely agree with your points with regard to the religion-tinted and (specifically with regard to state religion) easily co-opted rhetoric of "Marxist" material and propaganda beyond the first or second generation of Marxist philosophers, but for most of this video "state communism" or "marxism-leninism" should have been used in place of the term "Marxist". both the modern Marxist movement and Marx' original works are/were primarily economic and attempt to emphasize the material aspects of anticapitalism and abolition, and its separation from those bastardized versions of the theory historically practiced in Russia and China is I think a very important distinction.
