Hi, thanks for the questions! My kids and I had just pulled up to Publix to grab some groceries and we were watching a plane from a small airport nearby circle the area. The pilots practice landing and taking off and you can usually always see small planes in the vicinity and we pause to watch when we can. I saw the object and thought it was a bird but quickly ruled that out. Then thought maybe it was a distant plane and maybe we couldn't see the wings at our angle, but as we sat there it stayed in place as clouds went behind it...we sat in the car, stood in the parking lot, pointed it out to a few other random people as we finally went in to the store. Another woman took photos and was sure she'd find out what it was on the news 🙄. I took several very shaky videos and a bunch of pictures. It was especially strange to me because it didn't appear to reflect light. Not in person and not in the pics/videos. It was not there when we came back out of the store. I really regret not trying to get closer. But the kids were hungry and I had embarrassed a couple of them enough :( Been looking for it ever since!!

What kids do? Most of them don’t listen.

You never know what can set off a wild animal...best to enjoy them from a respectful distance.

Or getting kicked in the head by that deer. It would be life threatening.

But to sum it up for you: Don't let kids play with a wild animal this large. Kids don't understand the danger they may potentially be putting themselves into but you as an adult should.

I agree and, I don't even agree with or believe in corporal punishment... At this point though, the child is out of control, due to lack of proper parenting to begin with. Parents should never need to punish a child ever, if they know what they're doing.... Only parents that don't know what they're doing need to punish their children. The amount of time and effort required to educate a child that far out of control would be too much. The damage is done but, could be corrected through negative reinforcement.

how does some kid who doesn't know better need beaten? if anything the mom, the "responsible" adult needs beaten - however in this case you could tell the mom had no idea either. . so it's just about educating the mom on how dangerous deer are.

I have read some of these post and didn't get that people feel the way you claim. It was a cute video but the reality could have been a lot different , Thank God it didn't turn out badly . A buck can jumped out a 25 foot ravine in two leaps the power of these beautiful magnificent creatures are to be looked at not played with.
