Would this be the most early era AC/DC sounding amp you can buy? If not what would be? Something that sounds instant early AC/DC is what I'm after. They had a lot of different tones but TNT or Dirty Deeds rhythm is what I'm thinking.

This amp definitely gets early AC/DC tones. Of my amps it's the one I would suggest.

@@metroampcom lol great answer. I always thought the JTM 45 was about the right band volume cranked up to a healthy level.

Killer amp. Love my gpm-45 though it’s not the mkii version. having previously owned the metroplex mki and having played through a friends metroplex mkii, all amazing amps, but the gpm-45 is sort of the sweet spot and just where it’s at for me personally

I love your amps George. I hope you’ll consider auditioning them more carefully in the future though. The video features an older guy playing older Dad Rock, and George honestly it’s incredibly boring. You’d really help the success of your products by comparing how some of your competitors might showcase their new developments. Or if you’re looking to appeal to many market segments including an older crowd too, that’s cool. What about featuring a more modern player showcasing your amps playing modern guitar stylings as well? Maybe, you’ve already planned this as a series of demonstrations anyway. Hope this helps, and best wishes!

We are just scratching the surface and getting things rolling for plenty of product demos with different amps, comparisons, setups, FX, players, and whatever you guys want to hear. And yep, an old school guy, plays some old school tunes on an old school amp, with some rusty a$$ chops - LOL.....

Excellent - Thanks for putting this together. To my ears, if you want the 1967 sound, either of the new Celestions are the way to go - there's no way to tell how 45 years has changed the sound of the originals, but to me the new versions sound closest. The voicings of the ASW and Scumback are different but equally enjoyable as alternative sound options. Would be interesting to hear a comparison with the Weber Ceramic 1225, as I know their version of an Alnico Blue is about the closest to the original Celestion Alnico Blue that I've heard. Thanks again - I'll try not to wait 11 years for the next one!

Holy shit does that sound great!🤩 I'm building a 50 watter right now, have a great sounding 784-139 from a 1992 reissue, and am going to use the 50k mid pot for sure. Not sure about the other specs you referenced though...(?) V2 resistor that allegedly drifted to the 1k range, and a different or added bypass cap? After this, it's going to be a 12 series. I've got your chassis/panels/boards already, been collecting dust on the shelf for about 10 years! Transformers are the big challenge right now.

This is great for those who seem to hear Telecasters and Stratocasters all over Page recordings post the first album. A Lester and a plexi is more than capable of delivering the vast majority of what people theorize is a Tele, Strat and mystery amps. God, it is so easy to get the clean “No Quarter” jazzy sounds from ‘Houses of the Holy’ with a Les Paul recorded direct instead of jumping to the conclusion that it had to be a Tele or a Strat. Yes, there are many confirmed Strats and Teles on specific recordings, but people forget what a Les Paul is capable of…

Does, what others only promise! Really nails the tones! The Dirty tone equally well could be an (earlier) EVH but also a Marsden tone, while the cleans are perfect Hendrix tones. Just add a Jen wah or a Univibe and you are there. What more can you wish? Harmonics reproduction is excellent, so obviously is reaction to attack and all the rest. I cannot afford such an amp, but I have the DVL-1 Rig Library and alone this one sounds better than most of my other Plexi voiced Rig Libraries. There is some "magic" in the tones, you usually only get from some really good vintage Plexis, if you are lucky.
