Anyone here with hack for the 6520 Photosmart all in one, found it on the street, cleaning the print head now wondering what the deal is with the INK CARTRIDGE MAFIA's legal case, if I buy their HP specific brand any chance I get a settlement check after the case is brought to judgment ???????

This is all good advice and it worked on an HP 9014e. However, I think an important addition is once you have done all these steps, go into the printer settings and turn off automatic updates. I found that if you don’t , the printer will update its software and the cartridges will reject again

Didn't work on on my 8022E. I have learned that HP has "updated their firmware" and you cannot now revert to a version where you could use non-hp inflated price, low yield, ink. I will be returning the printer and not by another HP....

I did everything you said perfectly. And My HP Officejet 8305e still blocked the non-hp cartridges

This method worked fine on the first try for my HP OfficeJet 6954 using the ink cartridges from LxTek on Amazon. The color cartridges and an XL black only cost $28. I was spending over $100 at Walmart for the same 902 cartridges. Thanks for saving!

Didn't work on my HP 8020 Pro. Have tried several different methods and based what I have read there are printers out there that HP has programed to be unpassable. Had I known about this I would never have bought this printer. So pissed...

This does not work with the HP OfficeJet pro 9015E! at this point, I am livid with HP. The total HP Inc. thing is a scam and you can’t make the printer take other cartridges like easy ink. I will never buy another product again, what a scam!

Well if I could actuall get to the home button it might work but no way! Just ink problems on screen can't move off it!! Any advice?????

Now my printer allows the use of remanufactured cartridges sold by Amazon and others (<$25 each) instead of the ridiculously overpriced HP branded at $55. It was always a race: buying the latest remanufactured cartridges with the "latest chips", and using them up before HP sent some kind of update that disallowed them. I have gone through this again and again and thrown away many half used cartridges. So your process must eliminate the updates that HP has sent. My only suggestion would be to say more about how this process also erases the wireless network connections. I had to go back and re-learn how to connect my printer to my wi-fi, but once I did that, back in business! Thanks again!

My catridge 8710 is worked finnally 1. Restore factory 2. Open door 3. Disconnected power cord and outlet 4. Wait 5mnt, and press hold power to remove any power left in the printer 5. Put in new ink 6. Plug back back without surge protector 7. Plug back cord on printer 8. Turn on back This my step, hope can help for others

Well, I tried this but my printer's little window did not turn on when I plugged it back in. It would have helped if he also showed loading the cartridges. Needles to say; it didn't work. My HP Officejet 6700 still did not like the non-HP ink.

Thank you it worked, finally! I had to re setup the printer to my computer after (probably due to disconnecting printer power)... This is my second HP printer and I currently use an HP laptop, I can assure you that I will never buy another HP product! Edit: Once again I went to print today and the printer wont led me because the ink cartridge's aren't HP. I'm taking them out and sending them back and buying HP's monopolized inkjet cartridges! no choice

Didn’t work on my 8600 pro

Didn't work for LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw. So far, every time I purchase a laser cartridge, even with chips that claim to be accepted by HP, I have to remove the new chip and install the original HP chip. That also continually gives the message that toner is low.

I'm thinking this is a misleading video to give people a little hope but when it doesn't work they give up and sign up to HP ink refill. Interestingly in the video it didn't show you a print.
