A knife is a tool. Spending $500 on a tool when a $50 tool does the same thing makes you a bit of a fool. I see some enjoy fidgeting with knives, so how much is that worth? 😵💫

• Yes knife ethics are important and must be recognized and discussed • We all have economic realities to deal with. • We have physical realities we come across: Opening packages & boxes, making tinder from dry wood, whittling, bushcrafting, etc. • We can watch KZbinrs "not" recommend cheaper versions of brand-name knives. • We can watch KZbinrs go gaga over some expensive knives that are marginally better than Swiss Army Knives. For any knife • Focus on A. Knife Niche Markets (e.g., <$50US, <$100US, etc.) • Focus more on Knife Ergonomics. • Focus more on blade charactertics: Hardness, Toughness, Wear Resistance, Corrosion Resistance, etc. Thanks!

My favourite EDC pocket carry at the moment is all centred around the Leatherman Bond, which is uk legal carry. Then clipped to both sides of the pouch is an Olight i3t-v2 and an Olight O-pen mini. Great pocket solution for most everyday tasks.

Love the kit, good video. Although please bear in mind, the knife is not UK legal. Even knives with a small blade that does not lock in place, is an offence to carry in a public place, with very few, rare excuses. The section covers ‘blades and sharply pointed instruments’.

Tf is a hank. (Note the full stop, not a question mark.) This video is the definition of a complete DB reviews. Calling the business owner by their first name, open palm slapping the product when you don't know what to say or do with your hands. Ooh, and all the gurning at the start of the video, can't forget that too😉

I'm so glad I'm American. We may be deeply disliked, but in my state specifically, I can carry any blade I want too. And we also have constitutional carry. So basically, if I wanted too, and were I an idiot, I could walk around with a .50 AE Desert Eagle open carry on my hip, with a Katana on my offhand side. 'Murica.

This knife can cause problems with some police officers since its a flipper. I would say only carry a victorinox compact multitool knife. The blade length is less than 6 cm and not offensive or scary looking especially in its beautiful red color. I would stay away from any black knife as well. A knife is a tool nothing more. Don't try to test anyone's knowledge of the law. You don't want such a headache.

I’ve got both Heinnie versions of the UKPK and I lost an FRN one previously and they are perfect UK “friendly” knives. Wicked sharp, great stability and brilliant mechanism that means it’s virtually impossible for it to close on you. The mini Sheepdog is excellent too. Love the fidget factor of it. I’ve got the orange ZipSlip and it’s one of the strongest back springs I have on any of my one handed slip joints. Gives great confidence in hand and I LOVE the sound it makes when it closes. Great fit and finish too.

I know this is a few months old now but we've got similar carries and I DEFINITELY appreciate a knife with a proper pocket clip. This is the second time the Ellis slim has been recommended so I'll have to give it a go. The other one i'm looking at is the realsteal Luna which has better steel (or so i've been told i'm not a blade steel guy). In the meantime i'm rocking my old Boker g10 and swapping in my CRKT ceo. I lost my gerber dime but it did a brilliant job for years. But I did find it was struggling with anything above emergency use, especially the wire cutters and pliers getting chewed up easily. Check out the nextool mini sailor, similar setup but next level capable. Same notebook but I put mine in a leather cover with cardholders and a pen loop mainly cos i have far too many damn cards. One thing I've been looking to upgrade is new handkerchiefs so i'm bookmarking those brushlove ones for sure. Merry Christmas man!

the idea of pouches for me is a good idea as i carry a ton of stuff in pocket for work but would become a chore opening and closing every time i needed something which as a heating engineer would be every 5 mins lol
@TedHowells12 күн бұрын
I did think that too but it’s not so bad! Obviously I don’t work in the same field as you so can’t speak from experience there but when it comes to doing bits around the house, on cars or daily tasked etc having a pouch and having to open and close it makes me WAY more organised 😂

Also how you gonna wash the spork after food? you dont have any detergent so it will be greeasy. use single use stuff for that. saves you time and money. Also i dont think ive used a flashlight for a logn time so yours idea of everyone uses a flashlight is wrong, especially the shitty olight that have proprietary charges for almost all its produces...its 2025, use USB C. Also no power bank? i feel a power bank is more usefull; today than half of those items since a phone is essential to day to day living!
