Super helpful, I was able to easily follow this in Blender and create an imprint normal I was trying to use for a personal project. Thanks man!

I was hoping it'd be this simple, thanks a bunch. To be honest, this is really something that should also be taught to beginner modelers to give them a clear understand of how and why we bake high poly details down to low poly meshes.

What do you mean an updated version? Nothing needs to be updated as nothing significant has changed.

Why did you speed up the texture exporting part in Photoshop? That's arguably the most important part of the video and I can't understand what's going on
@louis-philippedesjardins459

You export in targa 32 bit per pixel or in png with no compression and it should work. Not sure why i sped it up😅

I was using a canvas of 1024x1024, so 512 was the number that worked for me in the offset filter. You have to divide for 2 your canvas size. Great tutorial!

Great tut, though the music is a little distracting and makes it hard to hear you sometimes.

Thanks for the tutorial! Is there a way to create these normal map details from just a picture instead of modeling?

You are leaving out some important steps. 1:25 you don't mention which color because that is the part where im struggling the most. And I can't understand which brush because my lines are looking really bad. Ah and just now I realized you are using pin light for the brush. But the end result looks really good.

Mais pourquoi faire le noise orange et violet? tu l'explique pas; si on le fait pas notre texture est moins jolie?

Awesome tutorial. My only recommendation would be to cut some of the boomyness from your voice recording. Perhaps turn down the gain level on your mic, or do a little EQ to cut some of the low frequencies
