#MadAboutTheBoy Tom Francis from Jamie Lloyd's current revival! I really loved Campbell in the OBC, but I think Tom might just be better.

Overacted, useless gesture, awful! For me the one and only Norma Desmond still is Patti Lupone, near her Betty Bukley....Lloyd-Weber said the only one who has sang the role of Norma as he wrote the score was Patti Lupone. The rest always set the aria With one look final at a demitone lower.....NOT PATTI LUPONE

Her treaty to Ephraim was totally without feeling or conviction -- she sounded as though she was reading the script for the first time. She perfectly hit every note; but again, without any emotion whatsoever. Dolly Gallagher Levi knew exactly what she wanted and how she was going to get it. Andrea McArdle hit her marks, sang her songs, collected her check and went on to her next project.

I know Merman played Dolly and I gather Mary did too but when and why did they appear together? In any event, a special night.

I'm shocked i like this A LOT! Papermill was great but this probably one of my top 4 favorites of this character. I can't believe she was younger yet had ahold of the character more than 98. it's crazy lol.

Ver Patti Lupone o Glenn Close

I saw her in the redesigned and scaled down 2nd U.S. national tour and was overall not impressed with that production or Clark's portrayal of Norma Desmond. I just kept wondering what was it with her pronunciation. Sounded like she was trying to sound country or something. She had the voice but the characterization and the pronunciation was just bizarre. I saw her as Mrs. Johnstone in the U.S. national tour of Blood Brothers and she was excellent in that. Her performance in that role stayed with me and I remember it well after all these years.
