Hi my name is Sarah and I was diagnosed with C3GN at age 9, in Jan 2014. For me, the C3GN was idiopathic, and around time of my diagnosis, i was given cyclosporin which I know is a widely used treatment option in the world of kidney disease but I bad a very rare and very severe reaction to it. I had an allergic reaction to cyclosporin and I became severely hypertensive, had PRES syndrome, and ended up in a coma. This severe reaction was so rare that my nephrologist himself said to us how he had been giving cyclosporin to patients for over 30 years, and he had never before witnessed the type of reaction I had. He said it is possible when you look deep into the history of the medicine cyclosporin, but the chance of it happening is so unlikely that he had never had a patient experience it. Since then I've had different treatments, 3 renal biopsies, and had many weird medical experiences. My doctor says im stable right now and they say im in stage 2 of kidney disease. I greatly appreciate the doctors and researchers who help find cures and treatments for such rare conditions, you guys really help motivate me to stay strong and keep fighting my battles with C3GN. 😊

I'm trying to save my life and my children's lives if we have this. I'm pretty sure that we do. I'm 47 and my mom passed away at 49 and I don't smoke but my liver has been injured over and over and I have been really sick the past two years. Can you please tell me what direction to go? I have done all the research in my own to find out what is wrong because the doctors around here really don't know what they are doing and I can't believe that. I always thought that they cared enough to do whatever it took to find out but I can't even get them to believe me. This has been a nightmare and I feel like time is running out for me.
