I had a theory about how Eurylochus and Odysseus BOTH saw Polites in the underworld, but whereas Odysseus became ruthless afterwards, Eurylochus decided to try out Polites' open arms mindset, in memory of his friend. Hence how he starts becoming more merciful, including feeling awful about killing the Sirens and standing up against Odysseus for the Scylla sacrifices.

The baby siren made me feel bad about the other sirens

Holy that was sad and the way I see it the sirens kill people to eat and live hence “doing what it takes to survive” -Scylla and seeing they killed the BABY that’s so sad

I would love to see a Rain World version of this. Specifically Saint casted as Odysseus. Everyone sees that green fluffy Slugcat as an all powerful psychopath. Honestly we should get the story as to why he turned out that way. How he learned ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves. The Troy Saga would be the Slugcat tribe assaulting Five Pebbles Superstructure. Frigid Coast would be where most of the Cyclops and Circe Sagas would take place. Posiedon would be casted with Unparalleled Innocence. ((I would have Circe casted as Rivulett. The Underworld would be Rubicon. The Wisedom Saga would take place at Looks to The Moon with Nightcat as Saint's adopted son, Moon as sort of his adoptive mother, and Seven Red Suns as Athena.

I saw this and I thought "oh cool I wonder who drew this" then I looked and realized "OMG ITS SANDER SIDES FANART GUY"

I adore the animation, the movements are so fluid! The designs for hermes and Odysseous after callypssos island are really good! For a WIP it looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait for the full thing, keep up the good work!

Not sure if it was intentional but at 3:26 the siren's pupil lines up in a way that makes it look like Eury's also crying(I could also just be reading too much into this, it is midnight and i am tired)

This is actually my favorite animatic on Different Beast, I don't like this song as much as the others in the Thunder Saga since even though it's great, it's really just Ody being sadistic with these sirens But gods, this animatic is good, most portray Odysseus as fueled with rage, but for me I always imagined him as being tired, offended even, he has waited to go back home far too long and the passion he could have felt isn't there anymore, his rage doesn't express through expression, rather action, he is a cold, heartless monster (rawr rawr rawr) now.

Unnecessary cruelty never sits well in the soul, but tricking the sirens and then removing the tail with the gills so they can drown is the definition of poetic justice.

I like how it looks like her song is like- entrancing us since we are the listeners and don't have beeswax so for us it would look like Penelope's truly there y'know? but then the slight flicker of her true form towards the end ugh 10/10 ;0;
