This is absolutely stunning. As much as Ride the Cyclone has a lot of funny/humorous parts as well as serious and emotionally-charged parts, it’s very fitting that Jane Doe’s ballad especially shows the gruesome reality of a roller coaster accident killing six teenagers, and so brutally that one would be decapitated and unidentifiable. Phenomonal work, truly breathtaking!

One thing I like is the detail that when she sings "Time eats all his children in the end" it focuses on Karnak, and the victims trapped in his crystal ball. It also applies to the end, when one of them gets to go, and the others remain, sentenced by Karnak to be taken by death, until time eats up their memory - as the song goes - in the end.

Oh my gods I just realized that if you go by the ressurection angle of Ride the Cyclone instead of reincarnation, the reason Jane was never identified may have been because Penny Lamb’s (jane’s real name) parents were sent to PRISON during the events of LEGOLAND, set a year before Ride the cyclone.

So in the musical, there are 6 teens who died from a cyclone (a roller coaster) while at the carnival. All the bodies were identified except for Jane Doe (the girl singing in this video, her real name is Penny Lamb). She was decapitated from the ride and since no one could find her head, she couldn’t be identified and no one, including her knows who she is. This song reflects her sadness, confusion, and anger because of that. The ending of the musical is happy: SPOILER ALRRT DON’T CONTINUE READING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO TO!!! She gets a chance at life, gets sent back to earth, knows her identity, gets married, has kids, and grows up happy.

Ok soooo quick theory “Pushing daisies, diseased” That is a nonsensical term meaning nothing at all So what if it’s a hint to the life of Jane Doe before her death, Jane Doe refers to a criminal case in which the victim of a murder is so depleted and destroyed that no name or identification is assigned, what if her name was in her life Daisy? It would be different theory if for say a flower meaning death was put in the song and not a daisy, Idk just me?

Now that I think about it, she was probably reincarnated into someone new, like you believe. The fortune teller never said that they'd go back to their old life only that they'd live again. However, I don't believe that Jane Doe's original name is ever told. (Did a quick Google search before replying again but didn't find anything. Maybe someone did say it, and it's buried in theories?) I also did a quick Google search (just to be sure i remembered correctly) and found that "pushing daisies" is a slang term for dead and buried. I have also heard this slang term outside of RTC many times, so I don't believe it is a hint, sadly. It would've made for a cool Easter egg, that's for sure.

@@BriR.98 Thanks, my older brother is a mortician so when I thought about this I asked him if it meant anything to him but it didn’t ring any bells so that’s why I made the theory, I only thought about this because Penny Lamb is also another character in the writer’s universe (RTC is 3 books that the writer wrote, Penny Lamb is the main character in the next one called Legoland) so I didn’t think it was possible that a girl dies and not long after another baby is born with the exact same name, so thanks for the research and fact checking and just being nice that is something not many people do nowadays! Maybe it's an area thing? I live in the northern US and in a farming area. "pushing daisies" refers to how body's can become compost for plants (if not in a coffin). Bugs eat the body underground, go to the bathroom, and that waste fertilize the plant (daisies). It could be a northern US thing or a farming area thing that could cause your brother not to have heard it, but that's just my best guess. Also, you are welcome for being nice. I see no reason to be mean with people if they themselves are not being mean to me or other people. You were just expressing a theory and had some slight misinformation that caused said theory. I find no reason to be mean when you simply didn't know something that is not from your everyday life.
