I am pretty sure the 2009 game is canon as Cameron himself worked on the story and wanted it to bridge with the movie storyBtw the RDA campaign is better in my opinion, it's more fleshed out and you have a final boss

From my memory, the main collectable eggs are normal lizard eggs that the main villain stole and is mutating to create an army and invade the multiverse. The first boss is an example of the kind of monster that's created if the eggs are allowed to fully mutate and fall back under his clutches.

never heard or seen this game yeah it reminds me of Avatar as well BUT also a lot of Kameo Elements of Power for the 360 which also had abilities for the elements (transforming in creatures to the corresponding elements) that were also mapped to the four colored buttons Azurik really fells like a C or D game, the animations especially for the main character looks really rough, even the pickup of the floating objects just doesnt look good, they just disappear without any animation or anything.

Haven’t played Frontiers of Pandora yet but what makes me believe 2009’s is better is that the campaign allows you to pick a side of the conflict meaning you can be the bad guys and stick with the RDA if you wanted, and then on top of that had a surprisingly fun asymmetrical multiplayer mode that for the time felt really grand in scale
@okgamergirl
@okgamergirl Ай бұрын
Ooh good point, we don't always get the chance to play both sides of a conflict in games! We're usually told which side is good, and stick to them and their stories rather than explore the other side of the coin
@JumpingJiraffe
@JumpingJiraffe Ай бұрын
@@okgamergirl yes also, in case you never went back and replayed the RDA campaign you get another chance to join the Na’vi at the final act and betray the RDA but this time you stay human. So it’s pretty neat that there’s basically 3 storylines to that game.

An absolutely underrated genre. HOG's are peak chill with their stunning backgrounds, goofy CG characters and eerie places a go-go. I played so many point and click games back in the day, and now even more of the HOG's. I love how much denser the item combination puzzles and the HOG scenes feel, compared to traditional Point and Click games. I enjoyed this video alot, since these games are rarely talked about in depth.

Oh ya I grew up playing loads of LucasArts and Sierra games! Hidden Object games do feel like an evolution of the genre, and as you say shrinks puzzles down to a single scene. There are some out there with questionable art, but overall they look good and are fun little games to pick up and play! 😊

I remember this as a frustratingly linear ordeal that demanded to be played in very specific way. Mystic Heroes is one of those games you think "I doubt anyone else has played this." I remember it being a simple and fun game, as well as my introduction to the musou/warriors genre. 0:07 - If we ever get a Kirby Warriors game, you'd be able to use those words again (to be fair, Kirby is pretty much a cutesy beat em up as it is; just with platforming as well). 0:27 - The UK had this real problem of only ever having the PS2 version of games. So many games I thought was PS2 exclusive turned out to be available on other systems. Such a thing was particularly annoying when it came to 4 player games, where the GameCube or Xbox would naturally be the superior choice, but only the PS2 versions were made available. 2:08 - Love the edit here and it is a great way to sum up the game. 3:05 - It is amusing to see you kick up the bear boss here and juggle him like a fighting game. 3:35 - The options are nice, but naturally, an AOE spell is the most handy in a game like this. 6:14 - The illumination effect from the magic is real nice. Adds that mystic flair by having so many night time areas to contrast the brightness of the magic. 6:30 - Bravo; 71 hits! Juggling like it's a Tekken match here.
