chevy wont tell you that first production cars have no oil filter...also ,,they brag about bonded brake lining..but wont tell you that after a few miles down then road the bonded lining can brake apart and fall off the brake shoe...or get cracked from heat ..and ford was using the y block design since 52 in the lincoln and larger truck use.....and chevy had NOTHING on the crown victoria ,,,NOTHING..i guess thats why they didnt talk much about it

I love these old films, but please drop the ridiculous thumbnail and title. It’s just stupid and unnecessary. The people who are watching these films are not going to be attracted by this kind of stuff.

I wanted to try it out... I'm not a fan of the AI thumbnail either... but this was an experiment... It seems to be upping my views... so it's working? which is sad... I don't intend on using them consistently... I think it kind of represents GM's being tired of Ford's BS in the film.. KZbin killed my channel for some reason in the last couple weeks or my subs simply didnt like the Corvette films? :)

Yeah it works quite well when the sound is missing. I may have to get a couple voices saved... I used the free stuff but it's fairly expensive... Not really worth it when I get so few views. I honestly should probably spend my time on more productive things... I do buy most of my films and this is a losing proposition...

Well they were much simpler that's for sure... and they will run a very long time with regular maintenance. Nowdays the computer will go out after 5 years.. then they don't make them anymore.. and they have made sure you can't program them yourself... These cars need to run when you put a ECU in them... The factory makes sure it wont when you try to replace an electronic part.. YOU NEED to have a dealer with a 20k computer hit the okay button... We truly need to pass a "right to repair" law. That looks at the practices dealership/manufacturers put thing in place to STOP you being able to repair your own vehicle on PURPOSE.

I think these cars were good looking. But they haven't aged as well as the '97 to '04 Grand Prix which is a mild classic in terms of styling. That car was in want of more refinement (i.e. Mazda, Honda) not more styling gimmicks. The center stack is atrocious as well. Those grey buttons scream 1995.

As equipped they are not giving the sales personnel very many advantages. I was expecting for them to have better counterpoints to highlight against the areas where the Altima has the advantage. Considering the superior power of the Altima's 3.5 why not have the GTP as the recommended comparison and leaving the GT for the 2.5 model Altima.

My dad traded in his two door Pontiac for a used 61 Impala 4 door hardtop, which had the rare factory AC that was a large rectangle hung at the bottom center of the dash with 2 pull out knobs that controlled fan speed and temp. We took those driving vacations every year (none were to Wally World though), one was from Miami to Houston, another year Miami to NYC. She never let us down. My dad's Impala was white, with the side stripe an aqua blue color, along with a blue interior. When he finally decided to trade it in, he bought his first new car, a 1971 Impala sedan in that butter color with a gold interior...

I really liked this gen and also the previous gen Grand Prix, specially the GTP and GXP versions.. It had slick styling and the 'Wide Track' look. GM spoiled their brands with too much rebadging and platform sharing, they failed to understand that mere rebodies on the same platform without brand specific powertrains and lack of quality interior materials wouldnt cut it. The lack of success for the Grand Am didnt help Pontiac, the Govt. bailout sealed the brand's fate.

In its first three model years the Corvette was a very slow selling car. 300 units produced in 1953, 3,640 for 1954, and only 700 copies for 1955. Sales were so bad GM considered ending production and then in 1955 Ford came out with the Thunderbird. In 1955 Ford sold 16,155 Thunderbirds. GM was not going to be shown up by Ford so they doubled down on the Corvette. Eventually the Vette became the most successful American made sports car.

I’d take a BelAir with the 348, ad a few bolt ons special order tranny and rear ( what about the 409, ) the dealer gave me a sweet heart deal on the 348, now I have near equal ford and Chevy for cruising I’m a happy boy, but now back to reality
