On Saturday night Beardsmith was the class act , the Sweet held back their hits until the end so those who left early missed the best of them and we hope Andy Scott is feeling better after taking a turn during the set, yes Thursday and Friday were wet and on Friday the vendors got a soaking but it did clear up for Saturday, we always leave on Sunday due to work and hit a couple of bad thunderstorms on the way back to Berkshire but it was not all bad we have been there in worse conditions a few years back .

Wow that's a long way down. Just a shame about the weather but it seems that the entertainment was good. So on to the next one? I doubt there'll be many more till Christmas the CCC, I'm told, have a few good ones on. Looking forward to the next.😁🎨🖌️🖌️🖌️

I've raced at a couple of the places round there. Buckden pike is a good one, around half way up the route there is a marker laid by Ron Hill as a tomb stone to his fell racing days. I didn't see anything of the plane but then I was running past. Another point of interest for the family is the country fair on the same day. One more place up there in the Dales is Reeth with great walks and lovely shops if you like that sort of thing. Great video I'm looking forward to the next.

Van life has become so popular since Covid I can see local authorities responding with no overnight parking signs everywhere and local people targeting boon dockers. The latest trend is now Car Camping in stealth mode.

Browns is well situated fir the beach, the surf school, subways in neighbouring village of eastfield (other takeaways are also found there), as well as McDonald’s in the village of Cayton, next to Morrisons fir all your essentials. The site is also on the main bus rout for Scarborough, Filey, and Bridlington. There’s easy access to the train station in Scarborough where you can also catch a train to Whitby and take in the sights such as the famous Whitby Abby. I live in Fikey just down’t Road lol

Might be worth mentioning that the park dean opposite does not have touring pitches?

I wish I knew about that area when I van camped in Scarborough recently. I wondered where everybody was & ended up camping on a street up by the church, near the castle. The next day I camped in a car park next to Plantation Hill, but I had no problems in either place.

Think once I cycled past there and counted over 200 vans/motorhomes. It’s crazy as they park nose to tail and take 3 spaces and the cars cannot park anywhere. They need to start charging or provide somewhere for them to go but would they because they get the views

Yea but😊 They loose out on the CONtax so spend OUR money on Yellow Paint, Cameras, ULEZ Signs whilst road PATCHING are sub contracted DOWN to sub standard REPAIRS with the bulk of OUR money going to the main contractors WEALTH FUND with favours going to those that awarded them the contracts in the first place. Mone Mone types. Called Fraud if the public does it ! but business if they (Government etc) do !

As there's more motor homes and touring caravans being sold, the councils need to accommodate them instead of putting barriers on car parks, if people pay there car parking fees the council gets some money, people have to park up on the roadside the council gets nothing, lift the barriers on the car parks and make some money.... It shouldn't matter too much if they are sleeping in it overnight...

Them swimming may be the sons of Neptune. They started back in the 80s with a bunch of solicitors plus who ever else wanted to join in. I dare say by now the group has changed beyond all recognition with regards to members and name but they would swim every morning of the year. Not sure how they can be called members in those temperatures but I digress. Maybe do a piece on the Sea Life centre currently occupying a building that Dad worked on back in the 60s. (I say worked on, if leaning on a shovel is work) but that place has a long history.

Hi brov, I was wondering when the next one would be coming. A friend of ours is a member of the caravan and camping club. (Also artist in residence at Haig hall (end advert)). During the year there are meetings across the country with many events going on some are aimed at kids some for adults including quizzes. Not compelled to go to them all, it may be worth looking at for next year. Bye for now.
