A little short paddle is a most. The river will put you in the cypress tree roots you can use the paddle to push off and use the paddle to stay in the current. Get to your jump out point etc. Paddle is great.

Good advice, the TV wiring we took it out, we did not want our TV over the mantel and fireplace....way too high. So we had it in family room and that works. I plan on doing my laundry room after because I want to add a doggie wash sink. We got the higher profile toilet they are great for those with disabilities. I did the taller cabinets too, no dirty tops of cabinets to clean. I did the farmhouse sink too. Gosh we have a lot of similarities in our choices.

Dogs are allowed at most rivers (but check each company’s website that you are going to). Take plenty of stuff for them too! They should have their own tube (preferably a cooler tube with water in it so they can stay cool and get in and out of- they shouldn’t swim the entire time or stay on the tube the entire time. And take a bowl to fill with drinking water for them. Dog shoes are also great to have bc of the super hot pavement and rocks! And if you don’t have a life jacket for them; at least have a chest harness rather than just a leash. Just my recommendations! :)

Someone else posted if you’re the float director you want a square float so it’s easier to get in and out of while directing your thoughts?

I think square vs round is personal preference. Then there’s different sizes of the Intex square ones L-XXL I believe. They aren’t my favorite. I dont think the square is any easier to get out of than the round. But to each their own. lol!

Hi! check out my other river videos- it will help! The best way is to go floating at a river company where they have entrances and easy exits. Thanks, I'll check it out. We live just off the Great Miami river in Franklin and want to get into tubing. Where we want to go is very calm but don't want to be stuck in the middle of the river lol

This one took us about 5 hours but that was with us stopping a couple of times! I THINK this one is typically 3-4 hours? But it depends on how fast the river is floating. I would call the company and ask them the day before of day of :)

That's Guadeloupe River is beautiful to float. Now I'm in New Jersey, at the water Gap, between PA/NY. Texas floating was more fun, but still great time at both.

An air pump (usually the floating company will provide this) but always check with the company you are floating with. You can also use a car air pump if you have one of those.

Awesome tips! I’ve never been tubing before, but I am going very soon to the Comal. Where do you keep all your extra items when you’re on your tube like your backpack? Do you have it with you or is it on another tube?

Omg what a great question! I have it sitting next to the cooler in the cooler tube, i make sure it’s clipped to that tube with a carabiner for extra security. If you are going to the Comal River- please check the company website that you’re going to to see if it’s a CAN BAN. That changes a lot of things you can/can’t bring.

Didn't these tubes usually come with their own interlocking connectors? You shouldn't have had to use the carabiners if all your tubes were Intex brand.

They do! But they have broke before, so I prefer the carabiners, also they don’t come with as many connectors as I want to have attachment points on multiple points on each tube. But you can absolutely use the connectors they come with. :)
