It is a bud papaya tree that grows fast
@v87garden22 сағат бұрын
That's amazing! Papaya trees are indeed fast growers, especially when they're healthy and get enough sunlight, water, and nutrients. If it's a bud papaya, you might even see it start to fruit sooner than expected. Keep taking good care of it, and you'll have delicious papayas in no time!

But Is it's okay to add some cooked foods to this?
@v87gardenКүн бұрын
You can apply cook food in the compost bin but need to avoid Meat, Dairy, and Oily Foods: Stick to plant-based cooked leftovers like rice, vegetables, or bread.

Do you put holes in the bottom of the box? Can the whole sweet potato go in the soil or leave half of the sweet potato out of the soil? I also see your sweet potatoes have already sprouted or is making slips is that required?
@v87gardenКүн бұрын
No need to make a hole in the bottom of the cotton box because it drains water well, you can plant half tomato in the soil and it will grow many slips

@ Do you have video on how to do that?
@v87garden4 күн бұрын
It is easy to do it just cut the bottom of the bottle and drill several holes on the base of the bottom and place it half of the bottle into the container. Then you can add kitchen waste every week

How is it fully decomposed in a month, how? Mine takes around 3 months.
@v87garden6 күн бұрын
Wow! Three months is too long, if you follow my step guide you will get ready compost around 20-30 days. Make sure you add kitchen waste and cover layer by layer with old soil or garden soil. Use a mixture of liquid fertilizer to help speed up decomposition.
@gonzo1916 күн бұрын
I live in the tropics and have done something similar and it's broken down within 30 days or so too. The only difference instead of the bacteria bath and layers of soil is, I use dried leaves to layer and rely on the soil life for quicker decomposition. 1. Collect food scraps in freezer bag for week 2. Empty scraps in 20g bin (bin is in shady location on soil for soil life to enter) 3. Cover with leaves (no need to water as frozen scraps provide own moisture) 4. After 2 weeks, you can repeat if desired or leave for entire month undisturbed
