I use a Zoom H6 recorder which records from the microphone mixer diring speaches and if they use and official mic during the ceremony. If they don't use an official mic during the ceremony, then I place a Zoom H1n with lapel on the officiant and on the groom. Then sync the audio in post.

Thank you. I filmed this one solo (the day before I fell off our roof installing Christmas lights, got 8 stitches in my crown, a concussion, fractured my heal and my left wrist) with 2 M50's. One unmanned on a tripod and the other always on me. I do not direct couples. I will tell them when their clothing ir hair is misbehaving or a kiss every now and then, but that's about the extent of it. My main thing is to use my gimbal as little as possible. I try and remain in the background with my camera to catch unexpected moments. I never switch the camera off either, to be sure that it's ready when my eye catches a moment unfolding. Make friends with the best man, dads and maid of honor and they will be sure to accommodate you as much as possible. The photographer also refused that I tag along during the portrait session. Their whole "couple's shoot" was crammed into 7min while the photographer set up his gear. I told them the beach belonged to them, they are the last two people on earth, go nuts! while I hopped and limped after them lol

@@Kruger_Films the Tsitsikamma video is absolutely beautiful - and made me a bit sad knowing about Wilson. I rescued a rough collie about 30 years ago, such beautiful characters. I still get sad looking at pictures of him even after all this time.

I just played around in the curves and hsl until I found something I liked, then used it for every clip and did fine tuning 😉

@@Kruger_Films hello really thank you for take time to answer. From 0:30 seconde in your video we heard a woman speaking (maybe the bride). You use the ZOOM H5 for the sound ? You just put Zoom near the woman or did you add amcrophone ?

The H5 was plugged into the DJ's mixer. They used a shure handheld mic during their vows.
