The chief was an idiot making a deal with the FBI when he knew his best detective Harry Bosch was investigating the murder of Sonia Hernandez. and the feds picked up the only suspect in the murder and used him to inform for them in gang violence? That’s bullshit! Screw the FBI! I call the FBI, freaking bunch of idiots cause that’s what they stand for.

Pounds deserved that from Harry Bosch. Pounds was a total prick. Harry did what many of us would have done in that position.

I loved this scene. They always taught us the wheels behind the vehicle provide the best cover. When you have contact, get behind wheels on the opposite side if you can get out of the kill zone. Jerry's training kicked in.

Cy is more depraved than Al because he does more spontaneously with little or no moral code whereas AL has a Wild Bunch-esque code. So it hits very hard that Cy literally gasps upon seeing Ellsworth's poor murdered corpse. He lashes out at others but it was generated by his seeing possibly the best man in camp being shot like a dog. I would guess this was one of the brilliant and late Powers Boothe's favorite scenes to play.

This is how you bring an old-school cop shop, or procedural, into riveting modern-day television. Bosch is honestly a godsend for TV lovers nowadays.

The 1966 yearbook that deceased Det. Caffery left Bosch lists Arno Epperson. In a later episode, Epperson's grave shows his birth year as 1944. Normally he would have graduated from high school in 1962. So, unless he was held back 4 years he would not have been in a 1966 high school yearbook and would have been 21 or 22 years old.

They all could have walked away. They were just too angry that their racket had been blown open. Ego is something a professional criminal has to be careful with.
