Both Traska watches are my favorites here. I noticed that silver radial satination dial is my weakness along with retro style. You even made me buy that bizarre Vostok amphibia obsolete piece with such a dial. Leaving alone your connection to Rolex that i cannot financially accept now.
@thomas3168 сағат бұрын
I thought the dial and hands of the previous Sheffield All Sport you showed, the mechanical version, were more aesthetically pleasing and distinctive. Quartz power likely makes more sense however as, if you are playing a sport, shock resistance would likely be very beneficial.

I saw this watch on watch dives and thought it looked quite sporty and different, so i pulled the trigger and bought the blue version. The bezel is absolutely dreadful and it feels like a £50 watch. Won't be buying this brand again. I think I'll be selling it on.

Glad to see you are back WR4K! Thanks for your excellent review and wonderful videos regarding this piece. It is indeed a fantastic timepiece and probably the closest homage to the 16610. I've purchased this watch on your recommendation and it is indeed the better choice over the automatic nh35 version. Absolutely great to wear and the feel good factor is there as you say! Regards,

Well reviewed as always--the Sheffield that best fits my taste is the St. Barths SCR Diver 1A...It's a bit more expensive at €223 but has a more versatile appearance due to the color scheme and no-date dial...It may become my next watch.

It would be good to see this pitted against the steinhart ovm 42mm or 39mm. I think the case is a bit thick on this but obviously curves on the lugs better than the steinhart . Each has their respective pros and cons. Great review

I really like the dial and hands, it's distinctive enough to give the watch identity and, I think, might even lend itself to other colour combinations. Given the nature of the target of the watch is sports it would almost lend itself to a Quartz version which could be thinner and might resist shocks well.

If you like comfort, curious what you think about Titanium watches. My favorite watches to wear comfort wise are both titanium, one with a full titanium bracelet and the other with a canvas strap.

I prefer the silver colour of 316L, and 904L stainless steel; to the grey colour of titanium. Regards, #WR4K

Very nice collection....For my bracelets, I have found over time that I prefer less links on the 6 o'clock side in order to position the clasp and head of the watch in a way that keeps the watch sitting on my wrist as I like throughout the day without any fiddling.

I prefer an even number of links on the 6, and 12 o'clock sides of the bracelet to centralise the clasp. Regards, #WR4K

This Freediver is lovely, but it would need 2-3 mm more to fully tempt me! I was sceptical of your Commuter, but with that honey strap, very nice indeed! For your Rolex, have you considered a half link, if that’s available for that reference. I feel like the speedy will be a bit small for you, that 1701 you had back then, looked great on your wrist, perfect size. But as always, everyone should just wear what one likes! Nice collection overall! Thanks your for update!
@watchreviews4kКүн бұрын
My 16610 is a 2010 so has a 93250 clasp. The half link cannot be removed from the clasp. The bracelet only has full links, as there are six micro-adjustments on the clasp. I am satisfied with the fit now; after adding two links and then subtracting one link. With Glidelock bracelets I always add two links to get the perfect fit. The odd number of links; six on one side, and seven on the other, makes the Glidelock clasp off-centre. The WD1863 has a 39mm bezel, but still has a 41mm case, so will wear similar to the PD-1701 albeit with a shorter lug-to-lug. Also its thinner at 13.5mm. Regards, #WR4K
@SkurtleКүн бұрын
@ I meant getting an additional half link from like Steelreef, but if everything is to your liking, why bother! I’ll await your judgment then, in regards to the WD1863!

Hi, I found myself in the position of owning mostly black and grey dial watches in the beginning of 2024. Therefor I decided to change my core collection and added some blue and desert tan pieces. One silver dial piece is planned for 2025 to complete the transformation. You’ve got three visually very similar watches. One is a very close homage to a Tudor Pelagos. IMHO I would replace it with a more colourful watch with some complications. You mentioned a chronograph which sounds good to me. Best wishes, Claus

Love your videos and reviews. I appreciate your perspective om the Rolex 16610 and I agree. I purchased one in 2001 when Rolex was still attainable and it still had enough of the vintage tool Rolex left. I recently lost a lot of weight taking my wrist from a 7 1/2 inch to a 6 1/2 inch and found the Rolex just pushing my size preference. This year I picked up the Tudor 54 and for me fits perfectly. I also got the feel of receiving the Rolex over 20 years ago.

@ Your Traska Freediver is so tempting as the curves on the case sides are so attractive and the bezel reminds me of the MM200 but without the bulk
@watchreviews4k2 күн бұрын
Yes, the bezel does look similar to a MM200. I dislike the MM200's crown at 4 as its large and sticks out from the case. It's a shame Seiko didn't make it with smaller crown at 3. Regards, #WR4K

I think your comments on correct bracelet sizing is subjective. I personally prefer a tighter fit with my bronze BB58 for example as I find it more comfortable and I don’t like my watch to move around on the wrist. I can’t easily fit a finger under the bracelet though but I do have the t fit clasp if I want to adjust in warmer weather.

That WD is tempting. Agree on weight. That's how I accidentally got into Casio watches. I was going to South America and wanted a watch that wouldn't be worth anyone holding me up for so purchased a Casio 218H-1A digital. After wearing a watch that was less than 40g for a few months I came to really appreciate the low weight and the fact that they are actually remarkably tough despite being made of some sort of hard plastic. I've now got three Casio watches. 🤷♂️
