Procreate can't do it exactly the same way, but there are several products that can help you recreate the effect. ColorLab, DupliTone, Broken Inkers, Standard Pens, Edge & Fold, Phantom Paper, and Lo-Fi Subtle Grain & Noise are some. You don't need all of them though, and if you write us at [email protected] then we can help you put together the perfect tools for you.

Why use Photoshop vs Illustrator; just curious.
@RetroSupply5 ай бұрын
There's a few different reasons someone might choose raster over vector. One being more freedom of movement and being able to apply more natural textures. You can always vectorize it later so you have options to do both.

The Deep Cuts brushes would work great for silk screen. You'll just want to make sure the lines aren't too thin or close together; same as any other effect. If you're going through a printer they'll be able to guide you on what works best.

these brushes are great i have used them for my illustrations. there is another one on your website i was wondering about, how do i use the Risograph Print Pack for Photoshop? are they used in the same way as the brushes or are do they do on photos? thank you
@RetroSupply7 ай бұрын
That's great to hear you're enjoying them! The Print Pack is going to give you the same textures/effect, but it's applied differently. It's better suited for photographers, graphic designers, or artists wanting to apply the effect more quickly. The brushes give you more control over the end result and are primarily geared toward illustrators.

Is there a shortcut to bring up the color chart? In my procreate app, I want to check on a color, I exit procreate, open my photos, scroll to when I when I downloaded the chart, and then close Photos, and open procreate again. This is not seamless.
@RetroSupply11 ай бұрын
There are a few different ways you can approach it. You could use a split screen to have the color chart up at the same time as you're working, use the "Reference" feature to have it floating in your document to reference, or bring the color chart into your document. For the last option, it's best to take zoomed in screenshots as Procreate will compress the image making it hard to read.

I have this pack and I don’t understand the K references on the skin tone sheet. I’m assuming the k is black. But there is no black in color lab color brush pack. There is a separate brush for black named colorlabblack. So I assumed I use that But when I try to use the black multiply layers like the color layers they don’t blend like they do here. It doesn’t give me gradients just black straight over my colors. Am I doing something wrong for the k swatches? In this video you don’t actually show the layer selected for the final k like it did with blue red and yellow. Just goes to a close up and then they’re coloring with a darker shade to get the final color but it doesn’t show how or what layer they chose?
@RetroSupply11 ай бұрын
Hey there! Yes, K refers to Black, so if you see K1 or K2 in the color chart, that is the Black 1 or Black 2 brushes. The Multiply blending mode will not affect pure black because it's already as dark as possible. If you'd like to see through the black, you can lower its opacity or use a grey instead of black. If your paper texture doesn't have color layers or is missing a black layer, you can create another one and set the blend mode to Multiply. If you have any follow-up questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected]!
