Something is wrong about this election. My election pamphlet arrived yesterday, while my ballot arrived two and a half months ago. It took my vote five weeks to arrive to California. That is just not normal. I have spoken to hundreds of people whose ballots are now missing. I do not see how it is possible that tens of millions of people who supported Hilary didn't support Kamala. If you think about it, there are a hundred more things that do not make sense about this election. Check your vote. Demand a hand recount.

I actually must apologize for 47th President Donald J. Trump. It was my fault for having faith in the majority of humanity in the US. It was my fault for believing the majority was smarter and better than they actually are. It was all my fault for believing that the majority was more capable of common sense and logic. So I concede, just like the blue party. I concede that I was wrong. It was a mistake to believe in the majority of humanity, it was a mistake to have faith in the majority of humanity that they would do the right thing, choose logically, use common sense. That was my mistake. So a toast to President Trump, the majority of Americans love you and they DESERVE you. And everything you do, whatever effects it will have in the near and distant future, the majority deserves all of that, and their kids will inherit all of that thanks to their parents.

Thank you for doing this video. I'm lucky that my close family doesn't support him, so I don't have to deal with that factor. I also keep my circle small. Though I live in the Midwest so it's not the safest place in the midst of all this. I've seen people that are scared about this and have heard how they feel. I cried a few times myself already because I know what can be done right off and what will take time (perhaps too much time to complete in 4 years) because of safeguards in place in the system. I don't understand the hate because I don't share it. Anger is another story, I've known that well because of what he cost us the first time around. And I have some thoughts I don't share outloud because putting bad out there right now isn't going to make this better for anyone. I'm in that category of not being able to afford to leave. I won't leave my family. Though I know of countries where the level of education and training in my field would be entirely welcomed in a way it isn't here. So I don't want to leave but I won't let my family live in fear when there are other options that still allow me to help. So I'd look for a place me and my family were welcome. Universal healthcare would be a must. The hangup I have is for me the people that voted for this man, I'll never be able to trust them again. It was like saying to my face that my life doesn't matter, my health doesn't matter, and my family doesn't matter to them. If all that is true then even when they realize what they've done (assuming they ever do) I'm not going to help them even if I can because I have to choose where to divert resources and it's like triage. The people hurt the most will be those they did this to. Thank you for what you've said. It's good to downsize even if I'm not going anywhere because the only clutter I need is books.

When the dust settles we'll have to rebuild our democracy from the ground up. This time with some goddamn guardrails that can't be overcome so easy. We're just going to have to learn from this and rebuild when the time comes. The real patriots among us that are left will have to do this. @ trump may or may not have issues with lgbq individuals but he ran on hate towards the T in lgbtq+. He ran on anti-trans. This has led to such stupidity as the right banning target b/c they sold rainbow stuff in support of pride. When politicians run on hate, it emboldens the hate of their worst supporters. Just as women are currently receiving “your body, my choice” messages, the hate towards the others, including vulnerable lgbtq+ community increases. Why would I not choose to protect him from hate? Besides, many Christian nationalists in Congress feel emboldened to express their dislike of LGBTQ + community. Further igniting the hate. Look what happened to drag queens in red states. They were labeled as “groomers”. Yet the real groomers get jobs as youth ministers, churches in leadership roles, youth homes for high risk kids, etc. The Catholic Church has a long record of abuse. As do some of the Baptist (& others) which covered up and moved leadership around to hide the abuse. Movements that peddle in hate, emboldened some to think they can act on their hate b/c they no longer see the “other” as a person. Unfortunately I’ve seen what hate can do as a former criminal courtroom clerk. I will 100% protect my nephew from those emboldened by the bully that was just elected.

I don't think that people are morally required to stay somewhere that they're unsafe or persecuted just because they were born there. If trans people aren't safe in the United States, a trans person choosing emigration is not a moral failing on their part.

You directed me here, so I came. I did not make my decision lightly and have followed both candidates since Kamala announced she would be running, Trump for longer. Project 2025 is a flat out farce and there has not only been zero evidence to support Trump had anything to do with it, he has flat out stated every time he's asked about it that he had nothing to do with it. I was furious when I read the bullet points of project 2025. Kamala also stated that she was in agreement with Trump on transgender rights to be able to transition if it was medically necessary. Meaning, there would need to be steps taken to ensure the mental well being of those transitioning. There are too many lies being spread by both parties. That has been the case since the beginning of democracy. Lies, exaggerations of truth, etc. Trump has plans to help restore peace, improve the economy, and secure our country. I got promotion and it immediately meant nothing with the horrible inflation during the Biden/Harris administration. I am poor, and tired, and work hard. I served my country and truly want what's best for it. We need to first unite again, fix what's broken, so we can enjoy the freedoms that come with being an American. The rest doesn't matter if we can't even afford to be alive anymore. I have facts for days for anyone interested in a civil discussion. I'm trans, and I voted for Trump. I don't have a supportive family. I'm in this all by myself, but I'm not scared of him. I think he can turn this hot mess around. He's already overturning his abortion ban, he can evolve too. Let's see what he does. I'm happy to eat my words if I'm wrong. Edit: Don't be afraid, people. Do not let the fear driven by the media and false propaganda ruin the joys and beauty of this country. Securing the border doesn't make him a racist, he is very smart and has some brilliant friends interested in helping him leave this country in a better place than he found it. Elon Musk for starters.
