I discovered them not too long ago, now I love them. Easy to grow, they fill up a gap beautifully, and flowers for a long time.

@@Gadziller Hi. They are called Thanksgiving in some parts of the world. However I'm based in the UK where they are called Christmas Cactus (we don't have Thanksgiving). The care of each type is very similar.

Do not lay slabs around your pond when you’re fish are in it. The cement and mortar will drop into the pond and can poison the fish. My top tip is to partially fill the pond then lay the slabs, the following day you should empty the pond, hoover out any debris then refill and put your fish back in. I would also add that you should try and save as much pond water at the beginning of the work as it’s good mature water

Thank you, we would usually have done much of that but circumstances did not allow! Pleased to say the fish are fine - except for our koi who got stolen during the process 😡😡

Thanks. I had a friend who helped. We used a winch and dug a good 3feet down and ended up chainsawing the stumps to reveal 3 small bits that go quite a long way down. Just don't want to fill it in and plant something in the sizeable hole to have it regrow.😢

@@virtualgardener I only picked your accent up on the occasional word. Your videos were recommended on an American based Facebook group about Christmas/Thanksgiving cacti which I've got a few of. We are a bit colder and wetter in the NW but think we've all been getting a lot of rain recently. I'll look forward to watching your gardening videos.

@@helen4641 That's so nice of you. The American gardeners tend to keep them on porches during the summer. I'd never do that, poor things would freeze - and actually they don't like being moved that much. Each to their own. Hope yours are now in bud.
