Thanks for this! I am a Black woman about to have a biracial child (White dad) and even though I know how to handle my own curl pattern and hair texture, I want to learn how to do hair that is a finer texture with looser curls than mine, just in case my baby has hair closer to Dad's type. ❤

I finger coil my son’s hair but it gets so messy by the next day. I had a hair dresser tell me not to use too much product in his hair as to not ruin his developing curl pattern. I finger coil in much smaller sections because using larger sections didn’t look this good for us. You do it a litter differently than I do, but I might try your way to see if it’ll let his hair hold longer because I just use water and detangler every morning, but it would be nice to not have to do his hair every morning 😁

How you tuck the ends?

Using a bit of the edge control, I apply it to end of the braid, where the end of my hair is at the braid, then make sure it’s nice and smooth while I braid that part to make my hair disappear into the braid. I hope this helps and makes sense 😃
