Great tutorial, the same stuff works on mac but the settings are in a different place. For the second part, you have to scroll down in the general page in finder to find the manually manage option, then you can drag and drop from music.

Any trans works great, but only for 3 days. For iCloud you need an apple account and my problems with that are enormous. I probable have to put my ipad into the garbage because apple locked my account for no obvious reason. Then i installed iTunes on a Windows pc. But it does not see my ipad. VLC can transfer videos files via internet. Ebooks you can transfer as an attachment on email, but you need internet. Apart from any trans the only way i can get files to my ipad is using an old Hackintosh. It does not make apple my favourite. Did you know that apple automatically transfer your ebooks to icloud, without asking you or telling you?
