How can you call yourself 'Total RC', when you've never built a balsa kit? That's the foundation of all RC flying. These new RTF planes are for the younger, 'instant gratification', generations

Yes, I always buy custom pc's with mega ram and graphics as I require it for my day job. You don't need all that for this though.

When you join 2 pieces of wood that have some length you should cut on a diagonal to give yourself more glue surface area. Its called a scarf cut. The way you have glued them together your glue joint is going to have zero strength.

I only have about 2 years experience with RC planes but i have grew out of my 6 channel with in that 2 years. I did not fly at all last season but i want to get back into it. im getting real flight this winter and i was thinking of getting the NX8+ or the NX10 Will real flight use the 20 channels?

Hmm, I don't think many planes would warrant the use of 20 channels. I think you'll be fine with the NX10, or even the 8+ 👍

I bought a used cheap DX6e, but I regretted it so much. Today I bought a second-hand NX6 for £180, 2 years old and only used 2 times. Did I make a good deal? BTW, thanks for the video. I'm definitely going to buy this battery!

Using the dongle is super easy. Press the bind button as you insert the dongle then bind it to your transmitter like you would to a new model. The transmitter just thinks it's a new airplane.

Hello! I'm considering getting a "real transmitter" for my RealFlight sims. I don't have any real world RC aircraft experience - and I probably won't in my area. I'm wondering, will I have to care for the transmitter batteries like the aircraft batteries? Or can I just run the transmitter with it plugged into the PC? Thanks!

Hey, your PC won't power a 'proper' transmitter so you will have to take care of the batteries. Most ship with rechargeable batteries so that is no drama :)

SO what if it doesn't Register? I followed what you did and RF does not pick it up! the game fires up and runs like it see the NX8 but i have the config menu but nothing is working control wise not sure why?

I prefer the lighter battery for balance as I don't use a neck strap and hold the TX quite high up to reach the switches.

Don't you just use the USB C in your transmitter? If you can find a charger that can use the Tx Plug (XH-1S) you should be okay.

Love the video but do you need to wrestle around with that big needle nose? I'm able to use my fingers. Now getting it back in you may need it for alignment. I'm looking at the upgrade the only thing I didn't like about the radio, Thank you.

I used the pliers as it was just less fiddly and more precise than my fat fingers. I expect you could do it without. Try it and let us know how you get on :)

I had 7.5 worked great now to many problems trying to get realflight to work and trying to setup a steam account (impossible to do ) which is the only way to get it I am looking for a different product that actually will work

Thanks, I actually flew 20 flights yesterday. By the last flight I was questioning my judgement on deciding to fly #20. The TX was showing about 3.60. No harm but I'll be upgrading before the next field trip.

Hi Paul, I have been meaning to address this! Shortly after filming the last installment we made a decision to relocate. It has been a massive headache relocating our home, and my business overseas (Cornwall to Isle of Wight!) but that is done now. All of the bits are in a box awaiting unpacking when I get some spare time. I hope it is in a salvageable condition when I find it! I have just joined my local flying club so it is at the front of my mind, I just need to find the time to find it all and crack on. Stay tuned!

hello I changed the battery (upgrade) in my DX6 + the transmitter stopped working ( 7.4 volt) so I am really afraid of upgrading my NX8 (3.7 volt) as it may do the same ??
