Interesting differences there. I like how they used the sprite work for Sonic 2 for Super Sonic in this one too.

Does anyone have all the info available on MJ and his team's involvement in Sonic 3? Carnival Night clearly samples Jam and Ice Cap is clearly Hard Times by Brad Buxers' band, but do we have any information from anyone who worked on the game about when and who worked on what? TLDR: I'm tired of hearing endless different playground myths and just want the facts that are publically available

A full playthrough of the game the game from 1993 could have this considered the first speedrun of the game as is the only known run of the game done this quickly from that time and it was recorded. A run in about an hour aint half bad either. Audio Quality would mean it fails to meet modern speed running syandards though and wouldn't qualify.

Too many timestamps on my hands: 0:00 - Pre-stream chat, with various 8-bit chip tunes and some awkward silence (due to copyright issues) toward the end of the countdown 9:30 - Bubble Bobble (NES) - PAL/European localization prototype 12:20 - Bubble Bobble (Game Boy) - Near final, if not outright final 15:27 - Beetlejuice (NES) - Now this is where things get interesting. It's got quite a few differences here. 19:47 - G.I. Joe - The Atlantis Factor (NES) - Very different from the final. 30:03 - Dexterity (Game Boy) - Back to something a little more mundane, at least on the surface. 32:51 - Sword of Hope II (Game Boy) - Localization prototype. Still has a 1992 copyright. 38:52 - Muppet Adventure: Chaos at the Carnival (NES) - Longer intro, music carries into gameplay 45:13 - Looney Tunes B-Ball (SNES) - Called "Loony Tunes: Hoop it Up!"; placeholder art and glitches ahoy 50:24 - Mega Man IV (NES) - Localization prototype 59:00 - Mickey Mania (SNES) - Prototype. Unlike an earlier prototype, there is no date when starting the game. At 1:03:40 - During the boss fight, notice how boss music actually plays unlike the final game 1:07:09 - Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (SMS) - Store demo 1:08:52 - The Lion King (SMD/Genesis) - Appears to be a late prototype 1:21:03 - Earthworm Jim 2 (SMD/Genesis) - Near-final version (predates it by two weeks) 1:28:13 - Super Buster Bros. (SNES) - I don't see any diffs here? 1:31:16 - Mysterium (Game Boy) - A little different from the final 1:35:01 - Gargoyles (Genesis) - Another near-final version (predates it by eight days) 1:38:52 - The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper (NES) - Closer to final version, with some swearing still intact. An earlier version was also present in the Steven McKay lot, but not shown last stream. 1:44:40 - Scanner (NES) - Unreleased Rare game, which is apparently early in development 1:47:50 - Caltron 9-in-1 (NES) - Unreleased quasi-sequel to 6-in-1 2:05:08 - Ghoul School (NES) - Contains the "Spinal Tap" weapon (read: a syringe) 2:08:48 - The Lion King (Game Boy) - Two different versions shown here - A barely interactive prototype, followed by a much more developed prototype. 2:21:42 - End of stream

Timestampeddity Stompity: 0:00 - Pre-stream chat, with mashups of various Christmas songs, especially "Last Christmas" by Wham 29:30 - Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Pool of Radiance (NES) - Localization prototype 34:28 - Airball (NES) - Unreleased NES port of the Dragon 32/64 computer game 40:00 - Battletoad (NES) - Release candidate, most likely 49:57 - Color Dreams Test ROM (NES) 50:31 - Fighting Simulator World Champ (NES) - Unreleased localization of Hiryu no Ken Special: Fighting Wars 1:01:42 - Golf Grand Slam (NES) - Mostly based on the JP version, with some things that would go on to be for the US version 1:05:46 - Kitty's Catch (NES) - Unreleased game made by the dev during his spare time 1:11:58 - Mini-Putt (NES) - Unreleased US localization 1:28:46 - Magic Johnson's Fast Break(NES) - Not that different from final. Nice Tim Follin music on the title screen though. 1:31:55 - Pac-Man (Tengen, NES) - Not that different from final. 1:35:32 - Rad Racket: Deluxe Tennis II (NES) 1:38:58 - Spy vs Spy: The Island Caper (NES) - Unreleased US localization 1:43:46 - Super Mario Bros. + Duck Hunt + World Class Track Meet (NES) - Not super interesting 1:46:56 - Trolls on Treasure Island (NES) - Near final prototype 1:52:53 - War on Wheels (NES) - Unreleased. Earlier than a previously dumped prototype by dreamandfriends 1:55:30 - Wizardry: Knight of Diamonds (NES) - Localization prototype 2:09:14 - Trolls in Crazyland (NES) - Unreleased in the US, but was released in Europe 2:33:50 - End of stream

Timestamp time: 0:00 - Pre-stream chat, with 8-bit covers of classic Christmas songs 16:05 - Whomp 'Em (NES) - late localization prototype 20:08 - Mickey's Ultimate Challenge (SNES) - Title screen lifted from a PC game, early music, early dialogue, etc. 31:03 - Gunsmoke (NES) - Title screen has "Licensed to Romstar" on it unlike the final 45:11 - Fester's Quest (NES) - Later prototype with "Demo Cartridge" on the main menu 52:54 - Bionic Commando (NES) - Different script from the final version, appears to bear more resemblance to the JP version too 58:54 - Titan Warriors (NES) - Unreleased. The version streamed here is apparently the version that Nintendo was to approve of 1:34:46 - Adventures of Rad Gravity (NES) - Release candidate, with no apparent differences from final 1:41:16 - Addams Family (NES) - Sorry folks, no chibi Gomez 1:44:55 - Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt (SNES) - Near final, only the Ocean logo screen is different? 1:50:26 - Hit the Ice (Game Boy) - Contains an apparently cut 4P mode 1:53:55 - Beyond Zero Tolerance (Genesis) - Different from an already released prototype from Technopop 2:02:36 - Dominus (Genesis) - Unreleased port of the PC exclusive strategy game, which appears to be early in development 2:12:08 - Chester Field (NES) - This game was released in Japan, but not the US. 2:53:45 - End of stream

The chat going crazy when they see the ball again at green hill lol Edit: the user at 48:51 demanding to see the debug mod because every prototype build comes with that option, and if he is not showing it then its fake-. LIKE SERIUSLY DUDE, you can even find the debug mode on the final version of sonic games *old ones or some of newer ones* and he will not literally show if it actually has debug mode because he is PLAYING RIGH NOW?
