Neither squids, nor octopi (nor cuttlefish) have the mouth that the Minecraft mob does. They have a sort of beak. Also their eyes are usually closer to the arms (only the two big ones on squids are proper "tentacles" scientifically) Their sizes can also range from microscopic to the leviathans of the deep sea, so it really depends on the species.
