I love all the ticket and former ticket guys. However, I would have respected the Freak guys a lot more if they just said "yeah Mike came out of retirement. Yeah it sucks for you. Yeah we get why youre mad" instead of acting completely oblivious that it could look like Mike is coming after the ticket

Sirois gratuitous overcussing is nauseating. Dudes got a very limited vocabulary. He's also a very bitter and jealous man in general. Spent all those years at The Ticket and then bitched about being treated unfairly. He could have left anytime he wanted to for greener pastures. His brother would have thrown him a bone at any time along the way. He's lucky to have a sibling lifeline when the jobs keep drying up along the way.

I like Mike. I loved him on the Ticket. I listened to the Freak from time to time. However, I think part of his argument is disingenuous. He is absolutely right. He did not break any rule. He did not owe the Ticket anything. That is all and good, except he then says some of the guys at the Ticket are his closest friends. If he really believed he was doing nothing wrong, and these are his closest friends, why hide that he was going to do this?

A great portion of my young adulthood was listening to the ticket all day and even showing up at remotes. Still have many of the sweat shirts. That was an outstanding station.

They go off air at 10am every morning as far as I'm concerned. The day Musers retire the ticket is no more.

The Freak is now gone. It was bound to happen but I don’t really blame anyone, other than the collective overall lack of foresight. There’s just too many options for a talk format. I’m 54 with two teenagers, and they absolutely never listen to the radio. They stream music, short video clip formats, and occasionally long form podcasts. Granted I know teenage kids wasn’t The Freaks target demo, but I was a Tickethead for 20 years until I started listening to podcasts a few years ago also. There’s just way better comedy and sports entertainment out there without the long commercial formats. I love the Ticket and The Freak, but there’s no reason to spend half your commute listening to car dealership and foundation repair ads any more.

Gordon is furious at Sirois. The situation isn't wholly on Gordo but Mike has some really good reasons to feel like he does. There are genuinely great people at The Ticket but unless they're Tier 1 they get the crumbs/scraps that Cumulus tosses at them.

Gordo was saying this kind of stuff a lot in the early days! Then, when someone does it to him, he plays little red ridinghood sensitive Gordo.

Here we sit in 2024 amd the Ticket is still on top in ratings! I'm still not sold on mid day shows, and the Hardline chemistry is shaky, but it's still working!

My grandma seen 3 . About 15 years ago in rural South Carolina. He claims they were walking the ditch line in a few fields we used to hunt , usually he gets out and hunts the power line but it was cold and rainy so he just sat in the truck for a minute, he told himself I’m going to smoke a cigarette before I get out because it’s raining . He drew his cigarette and lighter then placed the cigarette in his mouth and lifted his lighter to the cig . While lighting his cigarette he was eye level to the rear view mirror and seen them . He said what in the world did I just see ? And by the time he turned around to look 2 we’re in the woods and 1 was walking in ! Creepy stuff ! I believe him

I’ve met Mike on several occasions. I have to deal with him fairly often. Not a good dude at all. He has a real ego and loves to thumb his nose at his fans. Goes out of his way to be aloof. His act gets old real quick when you deal with him in person. Danny is a great guy. I would have listened to their afternoon show but since Danny left I’m 100 percent out.

I listen to ONLY the musers... the rest of the day is horrible radio, unless dave lane is doing heloise.
