My dude you are or were a P1? I was one back in the day but left the Dallas area years ago. Catching up on this Jake/Dan drama. Keep hammering Phil and 🐴. Stay strong.

@@Shrike1988 - hey goob! I've been a p1 since I was 12 years old. I only listen when I'm in the car now, but I grew up on the ticket. Sucks seeing all this happen, but it's inevitable. 😕 🙏🙏

@@suprcrzy yeah feel bad for the little ticket. But now that Jake and Dan are in the wilds of KZbin maybe you can introduce them to the bubble filled world of dps 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

I don't understand how they can be forced to cease and desist when they worked through the end of their contract! They weren't able to come to an agreement. I suppose there is a no compete clause, but is Patreon competing with the radio?
@VideoClipsNow- Жыл бұрын
Yep makes no sense why Cumulus is bullying what was once loyal talent
@keithstone7323 Жыл бұрын
Which is why they are not stopping.
@kevinwright5106 Жыл бұрын
Part of the previous contract was probably something like "if separation occurs client wont compete in same market for 6weeks" or something they can legally hang over their heads for a given amount of time. The question is, is the patreon podcast that could be listened to anywhere at any time, truly competing? Seems like a no to me, but can 2 poor dudes fight a media conglomerate in court without going bankrupt.? Seems pathetic on cumulus part to even care.

Kinda lame that Jake gets his dream job, then 2 years later Dan (20 years in) is like, "ehh time to move on", especially since jake himself says he wouldn't have left without dans influence.
@jasonarp Жыл бұрын
I think it's more lame that the parent company of Jake's dream job made it such a shitty environment that they forced his hand to choose to leave.

Haven’t kept up with it all. Where the proposed contracts THAT bad? I guess I just don’t get it. Seems like morning show, Bob, Dan, Corby, Donovan all should be paid relatively the same (regardless of your opinions of their personalities/shoes…all have been there for a long time…Jake obviously the outlier, in terms of hosting. So what am I missing? Is there THAT much of a pay discrepancy amongst these “veteran” personalities?
@VideoClipsNow-11 ай бұрын
IDK could be a massive mistake by the talent. Cumulus is a large nationwide company that has lots of experience in negotiations... so it is up to the viewer to decide I suppose!
@SuperB1971 Жыл бұрын
How ironic. "I've got to do something because somebody else wants me to do it.". 6:00 But that's exactly what he did. Dan wanted out, so Jake went with him. There is no way Jake was the driving force on this decision.
@dtroit2 Жыл бұрын

@@dtroit2 Well, in the interview Jake said he grew up listening to the Ticket, it was his dream to work there and outside of his college years it was the only job he ever had. He also mentions that he never wanted to work anywhere else, but that he just really wanted to continue to work with Dan.

Interesting. I thought I was alone on that thought. His talks of crying a lot recently, too. Maybe I missed news somewhere, but I always tended to hear about contract "negotiations/issues" when it came to Dan. You would hear stuff about Bob and Dan too when it was their contract time. I don't know. I just wish Jake well.
