Thanks for posting this video! Now at least I know how to test the fuel pump on my 2006 BEW that will crank but not start. The glow plugs seem to cycle ok and they all had resistance. Changing the fuel filter didn't help. A lot less fuel drained out of the old filter than what it took to fill the new one so I'm thinking it may be the fuel pump.

Great videos but as the dash said dpf fault from the get go i think the time spent would have been alot less to follow the given fault first. 😅 but hey 2 good videos, never the less.

Hahahaha! Hilarious ending! Thank you so much for making the diagnosing my car’s issue so much more straight forward. Hopefully I find something otherwise it’s probably just carbon build-up, a very messy job.

till you encounter one that is not a failed horn and is caused by something else. This is what diagnosis is. Its also about learning about the system to understand it. Grok?

I have a 1.9tdi 2001 passat. It struggles to start after sitting for 10 hours or more. It cranks and cranks for too long before starting. Sometimes it cranks at 600 rpm for too long. When it starts, it runs normally just a loud working noise from engine, but performance is ok. I have changed several parts, but still the same issue. Can you help me, what could it be?
@SAMUGOPOOАй бұрын
It needs new chains, these things are notorious for timing chain issues

Mine 2012 JSW TDI engine suddenly shut down on the interstate a month ago. Replaced the tank pump(had been replaced at least once before by previous owner) and bought that inline pump. Going out to check these wires, will update.

I just got this code in my 01 golf tdi manual. Ive been having issues with air in my fuel system, it constantly loses prime and Cranks forever after sitting for a few hours, i can see air bubbles in the clear line by the injection pump building up after i turn the car off, not sure if its a leaking fuel line, bad thermostatic T or bad fuel filter.

yes, or at least the pulley needs to be held still. otherwise it will freewheel both ways.

Much appreciated video CoolAirVW RM! I have a similar issue but my voltage in group 120 is at 0.45V while at idle and if I run the measuring block and engage the N75 it will stay at 0.45V then jump to ~3.5V when it shuts off... nothing between. I have replaced my wastegate actuator (G581) and properly adjusted it and my N75 now. The vacuum system and individual lines all seem to hold vacuum just fine on my Mityvac. I am unsure how to proceed. Thoughts on if this could be a wiring issue or ECM?

Awesome troubleshooting! Got 000175 - turbo vane tested good but with only .9v max vac! Don’t have a smoker so vac tested both end points and it held at 21 n 22.5 respectively. Q- would I still need to smoke test the vacuum lines? Many thx in advance.

Was the ground wire broken BEFORE or AFTER the junction? I believe if it was before, both sensors would have malfunctioned.
