I love the aesthetics of these videos. Just chatting, playing some chill ass yoga music and casually giving really valuable sculpting advice. I also laughed way too hard when I saw Travis Scott Burger written down in the notes.

Did you bake the normals from a high poly beforehand?

Hey what tonemapper does Source 2 use? Does it use the ACES curve or something else? Thank you for the awesome vids. Love them

Imagine if there was a game with this kind of realistic cloth, and guns, and the character looked like this.

Love your videos! Can you tell how you made side pockets on trousers(not the cargo ones)? Struggling to make it myself currently. Was it done in marvelous? Or is it like 2 separate meshes?

>normals are already made try to figure out how normals are drawn/made >internet has no clue >every tutorial starts out with pre-made normal maps >substance can apparently draw them but no one knows how (?????)

Had the EXACT same experience in my school! The only thing that kept my going through the hours and hours of work was the comradery of mutual suffering with my classmates haha, but damn we got into some real brain rot hours down in the labs.

this is A-Class work, love the commentary, great workflow too! I love the spots method for variation! I tend to use compare masks with the fabric height to achieve a similar effect but having random low contrast blotches of colorvariation really goes a long way.

Fantastic video. In fact, you have a tremendous Channel. You are very talented and generous too give us your time and share your wisdom. I've only recently got into sculpting, however, I've been using Maya since version 1 way back in 1999:-) back when Maya was only available on SGI computers running Unix LOL. I started out as a VFX artist, mainly working with hard-body models. Sculpting was something I left for other people to do, but now I'm sort of retired, just turned 59 yikes. I decided to try something different and push myself. I really responded to the way you approach sculpting. Awesome work keep it up

After detailing all the folds in ZBrush, a critical question arises: should I perform a new retopology following these folds, or simply reduce the subdivision levels and use the lighter model while retaining the fold information?
@TSCsREFLEX6 ай бұрын
Change title from zbrush to maya. When you throw one sphere and a cylinder for a blockout and sculpt a few wrinkles for some straps, it has absolutely no right to say zbrush lol.

@vict.6837 ай бұрын
Man, fuck, first minute 30 and you already hit a good point. I need to stop being so hyper-focused and worried about the topology/blockout in the beginning and just make it
