Phenomenal results! WOW! I haven’t tried image transfer, yet, but you’ve made me want to give it a go. I love trying new techniques.

Wondering if you are okay? One of your videos popped up as a recommendation after watching a Tiffany Solorio video, and I realized I hadn’t “seen” you for a while. I offered up a prayer for you so please know that people you don’t know and likely won’t ever meet are praying for you and genuinely care.
@KerenTamir5 сағат бұрын
thank you so much, that is so thoughtful of you, yes I'm doing well myself. I have been focused on developing classes on my website and so I have had less time for youtube. thank you for being so caring and prayers are always welcome!

Hey Karen, pretty cool. Are you using low temp glue or regular glue though
@KerenTamir9 күн бұрын
I used a regular glue gun and glue. Never heard of low temp glue but you could try

Hi Karen. Have you had success making your own Lindy’s sprays ? Any tips on recipe ? Would love another video on this 😊
@KerenTamir9 күн бұрын
I think I made some yes but you need to put quite a lot of powder to make the color stand out. Or use a smaller bottle with less powder

Thanks for this step by step tutorial. The biggest mistake I make in mixed media is using too much stuff; the finished piece is an overwhelming mess with no focal point. My favorite paint to use in splattering are the metallics. I can't tell you how often a mundane work becomes very exciting
@KerenTamir13 күн бұрын
yes a focal point is important to have. If you want to add many embellishments to the piece then I recommend adding them closer to the focal point wether you tuck them under or place them around it. I have many other videos that use metallic paints and many embellishments on the piece

Great information! Thank you . Saving this for future reference. What’s your favorite paper to work on? I am ripping mine . I like to work with rice paper on occasion to have see through and I know I have to be extra gentle w it but even w copy paper I tend to rip it if I keep it on for 3 minutes and I’m using hp .
@KerenTamir13 күн бұрын
yes rice paper is one of my favorites as well as printer paper. the thinner the better as I also love collaging with them!

It looks exotic but it's the same if you write letters. The reason for such feelings of peace and relaxation are related with move of the Index finger and your Thumb. If you look up "Penfield Homunculus" you will understand. I know that when you are moving your clamp you are building up new neural connections. The results aren't related with Neurographic they are related with hand clamp movement.

Thank you so much Keren for sharing your story. I cried and it helped me realize my own pain. You are such an inspiring person. I made a workhop with you a few days ago and I really enjoyed it. At that moment I didn't knew your story but I felt a big connection with your way of teaching with kindness and respect. Thank you Keren . I wish you health and love. ❤

Thank you so much, Patricia that means a lot to me. The soul pages method that I thought in that workshop can really change our lives. That’s why I want to continue teaching it and why I offer the courses.

I have a huge bottle of sax gel medium. Does anyone out there work with it? It claimed to be transparent but it didn’t dry transparent😢I also have a bunch of blick gloss medium too. The only thing I know they will work for is just collating mixed media?
@KerenTamirАй бұрын
I prefer matte if I"m honest. I don't like gloss medium at all. I'm not familiar with sax gel medium so I can't comment on it but my favorite is Liquitex Matte Medium

Thank you Keren! It takes so little paint and if you use copy paper, it is VERY inexpensive. it is a great way to practice and get used to the plate before moving on to more complex techniques.
I like to cut my own designs of a Silhouette Cameo. This allows me to cut the same design in different sizes and scales by resizing a design to fit A4/5/6. For A5 I put two different designs on one A4 sheet and 4 for A6.

I love cutting stencils using my Silhouette when I want a specific shape for my art. Using coloured plastic wallet plastic it can hold great details for pennies each.

Thank you for sharing Keren. No need to be embarrassed. I have had fibromyalgia for 29 years and I can empathize with your pain. I never have a pain free day. Sometimes my whole body aches like I have a flu or the pain settles in one spot like my shoulder or upper back and lasts for weeks. I have had surgery on one knee and need surgery on the other knee but I don’t want to have surgery. I have arthritis in my hands which does at times make crafting painful. I have dealt with depression for years and seen therapists on and off. I too am a sensitive people. Even my hearing. Some of it is the fibro. I can’t do too many people or stand too much chaos. I had several traumatic things happen and I have seen the same therapist since 2013 and I see him, through Meet every week, multiple days. Constant pain wears you down. I am older and live alone, my husband died in 2012 and I have little help from family. Doing my art really helps even though I am OCD and sometimes don’t stop when I should. Stress, overdoing, weather changes, etc., cause my fibro to flare. I did recently lose weight and am eating healthier so that has helped. I hope you feel better and don’t ever be embarrassed about seeing a therapist. You are taking care of your mental health and you need to do whatever helps you. I wish you the best.❤

Thank you for sharing your story with me as well. A therapist also helped me a lot and I’m very grateful. I’m so glad that you’ve gone to help that you needed and sorry to hear that you have so much pain and a daily basis.
