Glyn is hilarious, and his book was great. It was rewarding to learn he refused to be a doormat when fielding daft requests in the studio. He's no yes man.

Why he is acting like that he is always grumpy, but if the guy that made the interview is the son of a friend of hers he is the nicest one, the man never learn respect or class , since get back seems very arrogant, his son is more nicer than her (good job mom)lol, nos i understand why people have problems with her not everybody is arrogant , you see what your mirror reflects the guy is always complaing about arrogant people he work with but i think the worst was herself for sure

Never fails, Glyn John's always has a snide comment for the interviewer. I'm convinced Mr. John's is an eternal asshole. It's no wonder the Eagles couldn't stand his guts while recording their original material with John's, especially Glyn Frey, Frey wanted to ring his neck. If Glyn John's can stand his own self the rest of his life, I suppose I can put up with him briefly , think what he has to live with..himself. he's about as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine!

You just get the impression swanning around being posh and knowing so-and-so in the early 60s just about got you anywhere you wanted back then, no-one I hear in any medium of that era seemed to have hand any interest in or know anything about the position they 'found themselves in', not much has changed lol

Very strange that the interviewer has no idea of the strong connection between the church and popular music, which is heavily based in Gospel and the Blues. Many of the classic pop artists began by singling or playing in church, including, Aretha franklin, the individual Beatles, Elvis, Whitney Houston, etc.

He also employs that annoying 'Bob Newhart' style intentional stammer. Cou-cou-could you tell us a-a-about John Bonham's drums? Fortunately, Johns manages to ignore it and provides some fantastic stories.

Allow me to revise the synopsis: “In GOOD VIBRATIONS Mike Love attempts to revise Beach Boy history, portraying himself as the brains, drive, and creative anchor of the band. He pays 'backhanded compliments’ to the true genius of the band’s best known material, his cousin Brian Wilson, focusing greatly on Brian’s mental illness-challenges, and certain lawsuits. Anyone who knows anything about true Beach Boys history would know this is a load of tripe. All Love has really done with this book is put the final nails in his Douchebag coffin."

I've read the book and didn't get that impression from it. The book is fairly light, not a deep analysis, the darkest part of the book was Mike deliberately being duped out of songwriter royalties by his uncle Murray, that's about as sordid as it gets. No where in the book does Mike dispute Brian's talent and leadership in the studio, quite the opposite.

I know, if we didn't have Glyn John's we probably wouldn't have "Who's Next" by The Who. It was Glyn's idea to convince Pete Townshend to turn his abandoned "Lifehouse" project into songs which became that album. Songs like Baba O'Riley and "Won't Get Fooled Again" to name a few.
