Any info on the squawfish (northern pike minnow) effects on salmonids? I used to fish the SF back in the 80s. Some unbelievable fishing back then.

Today was the third time this year I have seen a bald eagle from Where I eat lunch on the Mad River. It was the first time someone else was there and saw it too.

Over 100 landed and released in three days, October 2023.

Wish we could take matters into our hands still sometimes. I would make sure every one of these yahoos realzied how ignorant and stupid they are. Our fish and fisherys are struggling so much now days, it really blows my mind that people actually still try to justify (snagging) or flossing in which they call it. You hear things like its legal, in the mouth, 6ft leader, blah blah blah, You are literally fishing water in which salmon are not holding in, theyre literally just jamming through. And you got all these ftards running lines and hooks right through their mouth, Its ridicilious.

Lived in Klamath Glen 40 years ago. Lots of fish. Went up river to Hoopa. Beautiful

I went combat fishing on the Klamath in 2007. Was a great experience. Hope to return someday. That was some intense and difficult fishing. Contending with other fishers, Indians, and seals was crazy.

Great video! I’d like it even more if you would resist the temptation to handle fish, especially those you release. I typically get the fish along side my boat, don’t use a net, it damages their scales and removes slime essential to their health, get a picture, pull the (barbless) hook with pliers, and release them without removing them from the water. Picking a fish out of the water distresses them further. Please don’t. Thanks.

Excellent video. Nice job releasing that chrome bright fish, looked like a hen… As a kid I summered in Willow Creek Ca. at my Grandparents place on the Trinity River. All those fish came from the Klamath. Good news about taking out the dams on the upper Klamath, this should hopefully improve the runs.
