maybe your drum or shoes is too far worn? thus over tightening to compensate and becoming jammed

@@saebbi my shoes are new but it is the same drum from 1998 😊. I was thinking of removing the hand brake connection to this drum. For a while for parking on the slopes i was slotting it into four low as my hand brake. But we forget and without thinking pull the hand brakes. I knew it was something to do with hand brakes but what exactly i couldn't figure out until i saw your video👍. I will slightly twist that adjuster and see.

I also have this problem with my hilux mk5 - keeps over adjusting and i have to manually loosen

Thanks for your response James, I've had the idea of producing more videos for a while now, but I don't have the camera equipment nor the free time to do it. Also I've been considering whether to make my videos in English with an accent or just subtitled with Icelandic speech. I'm not really pushing for popularity but I've had this KZbin account since around 2005, and I want to keep it active.

Sævar Örn Eiríksson I didn't notice you were Icelandic but have now looked at your other videos. Love those snow trucks - we saw loads when we went to Iceland for our honeymoon. Why not try a English video ? I'm currently rebuilding the transmission on my landrover defender and hope to bring it to Iceland in a year or so.

hún var merkilega dugleg í því, enda eru framhjólin slétt við stuðara og sama með afturhjólin, en vissulega eru hreyfingarnar ólíkar stærri bílum

Hi Erica, I drove this car with that engine for about one year then when it was time for inspection I threw him away :) There is enough of Subaru in Iceland and this was not a good one

Also nothing was wrong with timing belt, it was ok the whole time, but the clutch was no good and it stoped working after 500 kms

Sometimes you got to do that, one day mine wouldnt idle and I had to do this for a lttle bit before it would idle on its own

This subaru ot me to school for a few months, but it was later scrapped and used for parts for another one. Still I have one to this day in 2022.
